Amber teething necklace - bad experience

I know there was a post about this awhile back but I have a question!

My LO started teething so I set out to find some remedies so I don't have to use Tylenol all the time. So I purchased hylands teething tablets(amazing!) a vibrating teething toy( also amazing!) and an amber teething necklace. Well I received the necklace in the mail and I out it on her that afternoon. Fast forward a few hours and she is screaming her head off, like I have never seen this behavior ever. Then two days later I put it on her again and went to work. My husband called and said she was acting very weird and wouldn't stop crying/screaming! So when I got home I tried putting her down for a nap and took the necklace off after her nap and some teething tablets I didn't put it back on. Then this morning my husband called me at work and said she was screaming her head off and cryin again so he took the necklace off fast forward a few hours and she is a perfectly happy baby.

Has anyone had a negative reaction to the amber? Or heard of anything like this?

Re: Amber teething necklace - bad experience

  • I wonder if your LO just doesn't like things around her neck. My LO hates bibs. She pulls at them until she gets them off. Once they are off she's fine. I also have an amber teething necklace. Have yet to try it but I'll let you know what happens when I do.
  • Loading the player...
  • She wears bibs all the time because she is a crazy drooler lol and I don't think she even notices it there has never touched it..
  • I never had a problem, but the necklace is probably irritating her. It probably isn't the amber necklace per se, but most likely any type of necklace would bring the same reaction. Perhaps just soft clothes are in order for now.
  • I bought an amber anklet and a necklace. I use the anklet now, usually covered up by socks. I will more than likely use the necklace later when he gets a little older.
