Trying to Get Pregnant

Need help understanding my FF chart..

ok so I started temping this month since my cycles have been all over the place and FF finally said I ovulated on day 18. But looking at the chart I thought I ovulated on day 20. I had two peaks his month with OPKs, and on the 18th it actually said it was low. I know ppl on here have been doing this a lot longer than I have and could use the advice. Thanks everyone!!

Re: Need help understanding my FF chart..

  • You ovulate around 24hrs after a positive OPK.  You also had good CM.  I agree with the 18th.  However, you have lots of open circles (including on the 18th and 19th).  Are you temping after 3 hours of sleep at the same time?

The 18th looks right to me. You need to take into account all of your fertility signs when figuring out O date.
  • I agree with the 18. Your CM was better on the 18 compared to the 20. Also try to temp consistenly as well.

  • @bsckgb7 all the temps have been after 3hrs or more of sleep. Some days I temped later, latest 730a and on days I've worked I temped at 530a. I was just confused because I had two peaks during this cycle, meaning I had two LH surges this cycle, which happens to me most cycles and I had a dip in temp followed by spikes both days so I was a little confused

  • You need to set an alarm and temp at the same time every day.

It looks like you are using the Clear Blue Advanced OPKs?  Those aren't typically aren't recommended if you have multiple LH surges in one cycle.  That OPK uses baselines and you need to start using it when hormones are low.  It specifically says not to continue testing after "Peak".  That's why.  You may get false readings because it doesn't have a baselines to go from.  I'm not sure you had 2 peaks versus, one peak and a false peak.
  • What PP said about testing at the same time every day.  I usually test at 6:00, but the few times I've woken up early and tried to take my temperature its been noticeably warmer, and I end up laying quietly in bed until 6:00, retemp, and I'm back to my average range.  taking it at the same time everyday is a huge part of getting accurate readings, at least for me.
  • You need to temp at the same time every day.  Going off of just CM, day 18 looks right, but without good temps, there's no way to know.

  • Thanks everyone and @bsckgb7, I was using clear blue OPK. When I started it this cycle it did start out as low, 4 days of high and then a peak. Then i tested again because I just didn't think it was right, said it was low then peak again a day later. Anyways, if this doesn't work this cycle I'll try to time it at the same time.

  • Right.  If you genuinely have multiple LH surges you should not use the Advanced OPKS.  Go onto Amazon and buy you some Wondfos.   However, I doubt you had 2 surges.  I think you O'd on CD 18 and your OPKs indicated that.
