Just a suggestion- When I had my first, I intentionally left an ounce of breastmilk out on the counter for the day so I'd know what spoiled breastmilk smelled like. It was BAD! Like the worst rotten milk you've even smelled bad!
Thawed milk can be kept in a refrigerator for later use up to 24 hours. Check out La Leche League's website for more guidelines on milk storage, I've found it very useful. Www.llli.org

In my nicu thawed room temp milk can be used for 4 hours (unless baby has drank out of bottle then it's good for 1 hour) and thawed refrigerated milk is good for 48 hours
