When should I test?

I'm feeling down... I took a test this afternoon and negative. It's been almost 5 years since my last pregnancy and trying to remember how early I can test....my expecting period is 9/27. And I ovulated 9/12 or 13....

I also ovulated on the 12th I think. Last menstrual was 9/1. I'm going to test Wednesday this week with an early detection test. My last pregnancy I tested too early and had a negative the first time. Waited a week and it was positive so I'm not going to lose hope if it's negative on Wednesday.

I think it means Days Passed Ovulation. Just my guess.

I got very faint BFPs at 9 DPO (days past ovulation) and undeniable BFPs at 10 DPO. The recommendation is always to wait until your period due date to test but many people turn positives shortly before. I'd start POAS on Wednesday and test everyday or every other day until your missed period. But if BFNs really bum you out, I'd wait until 11 or 12 DPO to test.

The only way to know for certain if/when you ovulated is if you are temping. I would test once a week until you get AF or a BFP. Good luck

With both of my girls, I got a faint positive 8 DPO. Everyone's different, Goodluck!!! I think I ovulated on the 15th this month, so I'll start testing on the 23rd :-)

I got impatient and tested yesterday. BFN. Dangit. I was super optimistic and that bummed me out even though I know it's early. Then I used the WebMD ovulation calculator where you put in your last 3 cycle starts and it predicted ovulation a week later than what I thought. Double dangit. DH and I only DTD once that week. So now I'm not so optimistic. I'm going to test on Thursday again but it still may be too early. I predicted 9/29 for my next cycle but WebMD predicts 10/2. So I may have awhile before I know.

What type of test does everyone use? I used the dollar store one, Rexall, I think it's called. On Thursday I'm going to use a First Response.

I tracked my ovulation very close. From temp charting to test kits, I know I ovulated the 12 and 13th. I've been using the dollar tree one. This morning I tested again and negative...I'm only about 10 days from ovulation today so I'm thinking I might go and get an early one. After doing some reading I realized today or tomorrow is the earliest I got get a BFP. Thanks for all the insight! Fingers crossed!

My last period started August 30th. My cycle is 27-28days on clockwork.
I tested yesterday morning and it was negative.
My expected period is Sept 26th, on Saturday.
I'm now waiting because I don't want to be disappointed.
Hopefully ladies, we all get a postive!

I'm not too sure when I ovulated. I used the ovulation calculator and it said my fertile days were from the 8-14, and my peek day was the 12.
I made sure to have intercourse this entire week!

Unfortunately without temping, there is no way to confirm ovulation. Even OPKs only show you a surge and you can get multiple surges in a given cycle. Good luck, FX for a BFP

FX but just FYI, you can ovulate late. I ovulated on day 18...if I had stopped trying when my calendar said so, I wouldn't be pregnant! I didn't have a positive pregnancy test until 2 days before missed period.

There was a few days in between 16-18days of cycle, where I didn't because I ended up with a bladder infection. However, we haven't really stopped inter course other wise.
Here's to hoping that's sperm lived for a few days inside, just incase.
I guess, I'll find out this Saturday for sure, when I'm expected to get my period.

Have you been on the TTGP board? It seems like it might be a more appropriate place to be. If you lurk around there, you will find a wealth of knowledge. Those ladies are amazing and supportive! I lurked there for a good while before my BFP. Also, if you google, you should be able to find the answer your question about how early you can test. Good luck.
