It's hard to say off a message board...what are some ideas that you and your S.O. have so far? Best bet is for you both to write some down and one by one cross them off as you go. Also ask family members opinions, any names special to your family? I wouldn't want to tell my son he got his name randomly off a baby board Good luck!
Good lord...she doesn't care what you would do. She asked for name suggestions not how you feel about it. Hmmm.... Ray....Dylan Ray, Cooper Ray, Davis Ray, Riley Ray, Evan ray!

I was suggesting ideas for her to come up with names for her son with her family...you know, people she knows rather than strangers on a baby board? Not how I "feel" about it. anyone can type names randomly. I could say about 100 names that go with the middle name Ray but what does it matter if I have no idea what sort of person she is. Snarky much?
Well she asked the board so why lecture her on why you feel she shouldn't? Just answer or don't answer her question....pretty simple
Oh jeez, what are you the posting police? She asked the board...yes, and I replied because it's a public forum and I can do so. I thought perhaps suggesting ideas for her to come up with names would be better than random people firing off names. It's really hard to suggest names to someone who states such a vague post like hey....what name goes with Ray? I wasn't lecturing her at all, I was trying to help her come up with ideas that maybe she could try with her family to find something meaningful to her. Grow up.
LOL. It always surprises me how a seemingly benign topic can quickly get off-track by random snark. It's not that serious, people
To answer OP's question: Michael Ray sounds nice to me.
Exactly!
OP asked for suggestions, not for us to name her baby. I agree that many 2 or 3 syllable names would work well. I like Dylan Ray or Evan Ray or Dawson Ray. The names ending in "n" seem to flow well with Ray.
OP, I hope we've been helpful with some suggestions to get you thinking!
Considering she got some good suggestions posted on this thread from yesterday too, but hasn't answered, I think a more individual solution focused recommendation like @Rikki_5 's is totally appropriate.
There's also a great baby name thread floating around somewhere where people got great ideas!
I know I've given this advice on another thread but it really does give you a good platform. Get a baby almanac and circle every single name you would even remotely consider using. Read them each (the ones you circled) to your SO, any names he likes, mark. Write them down. Mark your top 10 or so, have him do the same. Any that you both chose go on your next list, keep doing this until you narrow it down. Good luck!
(By the way, my brother's middle name is Ray. He's Corey Ray.)
