3month old help!!!!!!!

my son just turned 3months Thursday and for the past two/three days has been having moments where he cries like crazy ! He was never like this he is a happy baby he only cried when he was wet hungry sleepy or gassy like any other baby. Now I have no idea why he doesn't have gas because I try burping him for awhile since he's been spitting up he drinks 4oz of similac sensitive I wanted to increase but since he spits up im not sure. He is not hungry, he isn't wet, he might be tired but really fights his sleep now. I am trying to get him to self soothe. We used to rock him to sleep and put a blanket rubbed against his face since he likes his face rubbed and I sing to him. Now I do the same till he is drowsy then put him In the crib to fall asleep on his own sometimes he does sometimes he wakes up screaming. Lately he has been fake crying fake coughing fake sneezing and smacking people's faces when he doesn't have his milk on time or throwing him self back and crying. He was never like this. Not sure what to do. It's driving me nuts !

First off he's not "faking" anything because he doesn't know how to manipulate. The rest sounds pretty normal for a fussy baby. Not all babies stay happy and easygoing. My daughter sure didn't.

Secondly, that whole "self soothing" thing is crap. Do what works for your son and don't try to make a 3 month old self soothe. He's too young to understand. If rocking him works then do that. Don't listen to other people or read books, just do what works for your baby.
