Mucus plug or did my water break?? (TMI)

So around 2am I went to the bathroom, and when I wiped there was a ton of slimey clear stuff (also some in my underwear). I had to wipe so many times before it stopped coming out of me. The next few times I went to the bathroom it was the same issue, but the color of the slimey stuff changed a bit, and is now more yellow/orange and is thicker in consistency and at one point had a very tiny amount of blood/pink. It's not dripping out of me or flowing like I would expect if it were my water breaking, but it's so much stuff! Would my mucus plug cause so much slimey stuff to come out for so long? I feel like I spend 5 minutes just trying to wipe myself up after I pee because there is so much slime!! Also since this all started I've had very dull period like cramps...What's going on?! (FTM)

    Sounds like your plug but of course no one can tell you for sure. If your waters broke it would be less slimy, just fluid.

    I had the same exact same thing happen to me this morning and called in since I'm 40+5 today and turns out my water broke ! There keeping me and say baby will be here by tonight ! :)

    It sounds like your mucus plug. When my water broke it was very thin, watery liquid and was just pouring out. I lost my mucus plug at 38.5 weeks and my water broke 12 hours later! If you're not sure though, L&D can do a quick swab test to see if it's your amniotic fluid.

    @ashlenn that's so exciting! My issues pretty much stopped so I think it was probably just my plug. I'm so jealous though! Good luck!!

    Maybe your water will break later today like mine did after I lost my plug!
