My nipples may fall off

How do you keep a tiny human from nearly ripping your nipple off when they fall off your boob after nursing?? If I take her off myself she cries and wants to re-latch, but if I let her nurse till she falls asleep, it feels like she is going to take my nipple with her when she finally pulls away.

Slide your finger into her mouth to unlatch. That's how I do it with my son and was taught by the RN at the hospital.

Agree with pp. I just slide my finger in his badly from the side to break the seal. It doesn't hurt at all! Good luck!

I do that...but she freaks out and wants to be put back on

I've tried giving her 5 different brands of pacifiers to slip right in when I break her latch and she won't take any of them

Think of your finger like a fish hook to break the latch.
