Week/Baby Size: 12, a plum! Officially 5cm as per the ultrasound yesterday :-D
Symptoms: threw up for the first time on Monday after nausea since 7.5 weeks, still battling crazy aversions, everything leaves a nasty aftertaste, and my boobs give a whole new meaning to the word "knockers"
Rants/Raves/Stories: heard the heartbeat for the first time yesterday and I cried Surprised, because I didn't with DD!
Upcoming Appointments: had my 12 week yesterday, so nothing until 16 weeks now
GTKY: Favorite Disney princess (or character, if you're not much of a princess gal): I've always been a Jasmine girl, LOVE her! I mean, girls got a pet tiger!
Week/Baby Size:12 weeks - plum. So happy to reach this number!
Symptoms: I've only had minimal symptoms from day 1 and I feel that since last week they are even less pronounced. My appetite is almost normal again. Still never had any nausea. Bloating is way better. Occasional tiredness. That's it.
Rants/Raves/Stories: Today I took my 12 week belly photo. I am actually a bit bummed that I don't have a baby bump yet… This is my first pregnancy and I am a big gal (I'm 5'7''and I have huge bone structure and wide hips), so I am wondering whether baby still has plenty of room to grow inside before 'popping'out? Let me tell ya, I am so glad I have my Doppler! With minimal symptoms and no baby bump I would be freaking out right now if I didn't know what was going on. But last night I heard the heart beat at 160 bpm. How long did it take you ladies to finally have a bump with your first pregnancies?
Upcoming Appointments: In early October, at 14 weeks. I had an ultrasound last week at 11 weeks and baby was measuring on target then.
GTKY: Favorite Disney princess (or character, if you're not much of a princess gal): When I was little I always wanted to be Ariel.
Symptoms: most of them have gone away, but still sore boobs. My legs have been pretty itchy too, dunno if that really counts.
Rants/Raves/Stories: we got our announcement pictures back yesterday and the photographer actually had our video ready too. The video is so amazing. It perfectly captures the love and silliness between the BF and I. So we ended up using the video to announce and woke up to Facebook blowing up! So much love, and so excited we are actually public now!
Upcoming Appointments: October 1st, 13 week since we are at the beach.
GTKY: Favorite Disney princess (or character, if you're not much of a princess gal): I am not sure who my favorite princess is. But I love Lilo and Nani from Lilo and Stitch. So much creativity and love between them. And Nani never tried to change Lilo's creativity or interests.
Rants/Raves/Stories: The stomach bug is running through our school. I teach special ed and my kids need a good bit of assistance in the bathroom...I am over parents sending their kids to school sick...and also over puking after every bathroom trip. Also...I bawled my eyes out for the first time as I was going through DD's old clothes. Getting ready for a consignment sale and actually being willing to part with clothes is TOUGH. But totally different seasons for the new baby means there is no reason to keep it all.
Upcoming Appointments: Mid October for 12 week
GTKY: Favorite Disney princess (or character, if you're not much of a princess gal): Loves me some Ariel---put me in the water all day every day! Plus, mer-girl has hips!
@thaisac1 This is me at 19 weeks on the left with my DD...and 9 weeks on the right with this LO. I didn't look very pregnant until 3rd trimester.
You are right @imrachellea , what a difference! This is from this morning at 12 weeks. No bump, just chubbies. I'll start taking pics weekly now in hopes of an imminent bump appearance.
Symptoms: still a bit of nausea but it's starting to go away, some smells still really bother me, and I'm a bit tired at times
Rants/Raves/Stories: We saw the baby moving around like a champ yesterday at our check up! It was the most amazing thing and the smile on my husband's face melted my heart
Upcoming Appointments: NT Scan next week
GTKY: Favorite Disney princess (or character, if you're not much of a princess gal): I'm not much of a princess gal, but I do love Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore
Rants/Raves/Stories: my belly seems to have suddenly popped a bit, sucking in is no longer working. Thank goodness for scrubs hiding it at work since I don't want them to know yet.
Upcoming Appointments: tomorrow
GTKY: Favorite Disney princess (or character, if you're not much of a princess gal): Ariel has always been my favorite
