Opinions on baby boy name

We are planning on naming our son Johnny Matthew. Johnny is my husband's brother's first name and their father's middle name - it is not a nickname, that is what is on their birth certificates. What do you think of the name? We want to call him Johnny no matter what, but do you think it is better to put Jonathan on his birth certificate?

    I'm a big believer in do what you want lol!

    My name is Dani.  Not short for anything, and I did just fine my whole life. =)

    If we have a girl, her name will be Toni.  And if we ever had another girl, I would like Nikki.  

    Johnny sounds great!

    I think that Johnny is fine - but it all depends on if you want him to have the formal option later in life. Also, once he gets into a career setting, many people may end up calling him Jonathan and he will have to correct them. But if that doesn't concern you then I say go for it :)
