Hi there! I am Laura and live in Va. I've been married twice and my infertility issues (PCOS) was a factor to my first marriage ending. I've been married for almost six years now to my supportive DH who happens to be 10 years younger than me (hope that doesn't disqualify me from this group). We have put off having children as late as I felt comfortable with, and I even had gastric sleeve surgery to help my desire to have children. I lost over 100 lbs, and am over a year and a half out from my surgery, which is the optimal waiting time given by my surgeon.
All my bloodwork levels are looking great this time around, but my PCOS is still affecting me in that I am not ovulating and missing periods still. So many women can have weight loss surgery and "oops surprise" end up pregnant. DH and I have tried since before we were married (well not on purpose all that time.. but we have not prevented either). I just went through my 1st IUI last week and am in the dreaded 2ww. I'm experiencing the clomid crazies this month and am ready to get off this rollercoaster.
Trying to stay positive through it all, and I mostly hang out in the infertility boards, but I'm definitely feeling at home here as well. I've lurked for a long time and wanted to say hello to you all. *waves*
