Fleas!!! Help!!!

I'm 6 weeks and a FTM. after a wonderful long weekend away, we came back to find our house infested with fleas! We didn't hesitate to bomb the house. We got a hotel room for the night, and until we get the house cleaned we will be staying in our guest 'house'. it's just a room that is separate from the house but no plumbing .
My question is, what needs to be done to rid the house of the pesticide after?
We plan to wash all the clothes and linens on hot, we removed everything from the kitchen. We also plan on wiping down every surface we work or eat off of. Do you think it is necessary to shampoo the carpet? What about my couch?

I'm out of town until Monday morning so I can be away while it all gets cleaned, just reaching out to anyone who has been through this and knows what needs to be done

    Even after the bomb it needs to be vacuumed every day for the next two weeks to get rid of the eggs. Your cleaning plans sound good.

    Oh my goodness we just went through this same nightmare! Except we couldn't bomb the house or use anything on the carpet because DD is 15 months old and lives on the carpet. We tried dimatateous earth and salt as natural remedies, but the only thing that worked was vacuuming. We vacuum our 2100sq foot fully carpeted house twice a day with a shop vac every single day. It sucks but it's the only thing that's worked.

    We use advantage on our cats but apparently the fleas in upstate ny are mutants.

    I definitely recommend a carpet cleaning after bombing. Also, because you are pregnant, I don't think cleaning the chemicals off the couch would be a bad idea either. You can also set flea traps at night to see how his going. Take a white paper plate and put dish soap on it then put a light next to it. The fleas are attracted to the light and will get stuck in the soap. If any eggs escaped the bombing and hatch you can catch them this way. And that's a great idea to wash all linens and any clothes that may have been in hampers on the floor, etc.

    The vacuum is your best friend.

    I'm in upstate NY too. Fleas were so bad until I got those Soresto 8 month flea collars. They work amazing! They are pretty expensive, but I got mine on eBay and saved a lot. The soapy water in a dish flea trap works real well. I put it the lid from a pickle jar and set it under a night light.

    Thank you everyone! My amazing husband is cleaning EVERYTHING while I'm on my 12 hour shift today, he didn't want me to even be exposed to it while cleaning :) feeling very lucky :)
