Did my growth ultrasound at 35 weeks and they are telling me my baby girl is measuring 7lbs 4 oz. I hope they are off some. They're inducing early. How big are your babies?
I too had a ultrasound at 35 weeks. I am also at 7 lbs, 6 oz.... this girlie is coming early!
Mama to a wonderful DD - Sep 2015, Wife to my DH since 2011, 2 dogs, a cat, and hoping to add No. 2 in May/June 2018. Canadian. 5 - IUIs, 3 - IVF retrievals, 2- failed transfers (fresh, and frozen), PGS on second IVF resulted in 1 perfect emby, and DD. 3rd IVF w PGS resulted in 3! perfect embys. 1st transfer - Sep 2017 2 more on ice.
I had a growth scan on Monday at exactly 34 weeks and baby girl was measuring 4 pounds 3oz. Just a little peanut! That puts her in the 25th percentile. Her sister was only 6lbs 13oz at 11 days late so I'm expecting another small baby.
At 36 weeks 3 days baby girl is measuring at 6lbs 14oz! I am okay with a bigger baby but during the entire ultrasound the dr kept commenting on how cubby her cheeks, abdomen and even said her feet were chubby! I am kind of worried she will just come out as a ball of fat after this ultrasound .
At 32 weeks, my twins were 4.1 & 4.7 lbs. I go for another scan on Tuesday, which puts me at 35 weeks. I'm terrified that they will be huge & they'll make me deliver earlier than I already am.

Should I be asking the doctor about this? She never tells me what the tape measure says just that everything is normal. Are there others out there that have a similar doctor as I who provide no info? Or is it an expectation that I do all the asking? FTM here...
@justagirl04, they wouldn't be able to tell you the estimated weight based on fundal height (tape measurement). They could give you an estimate if you had an ultrasound, but they typically only do an ultrasound if there are some concerns or the pregnancy is considered higher risk. Good luck!
I was told by my provider that those growth ultrasounds are +\- 2 pounds, so not very accurate. You may want to ask your provider for the research backing up their reason for inducing early. Just a thought.
My ob is the same...no info what so ever. It's only because I had to start seeing a specialist that I have an ultrasound every visit...my ob listens to heartbeat and says everything is good and send me on my way...I'm a FTM and I hate not knowing anything...good luck to you
12 years ago they measured my son to be 8.5 pounds at 38 weeks I had him one week later and he weighed 8pounds 10 ounces seems pretty accurate to me.. I know he gained 5 more ounces in that week.. At my last ultrasound 33 weeks my baby is weighing in at 5 pounds and at 52%. And my weight gain is 10 pounds and Doctor is expecting my peanut to be as big or bigger than the last baby..
37 weeks tomorrow and baby weighs a little over 7 lbs, expected to be around 9 or more at birth ! My first was 9.7 lbs but only expected to be 7.5-8 lbs so we shall see !
At 34 weeks 4 1/2 lbs. My son was estimated at 7 1/2 lbs but came out at 9lbs14oz, but i didn't find that little tidbit out until after I pushed him out lol

My first was estimated to be 7.5-8 lbs max and was 9.7 at birth ! This baby is estimated to be roughly 9 or a bit bigger at birth ... I wonder how off it'll be !
My doc felt around today and said she thinks the baby is around 7 lbs right now. I'm 37+1. She said depending on when I deliver, it could be an 8 or 9 lb baby. I was really small; less than 6 lbs when born, so I blame this on my choice in men! LOL
@amberrmariee20 my niece was estimated at 9+lbs and she was barely 7lbs wet. Itreally is random... If it's any consolation my fun bits weren't destroyed when I pushed him out. I had a 2nd degree tear but it healed rather quickly and I have no lingering after affects - it's like he was never there lol

My first ended up with shoulder dystocia, broken left clavicle and nerve damage, so I'm hoping this one is a bit smaller then my first !
@amberrmariee20 Im sorry to hear that. That's the scary part of giving birth... anything can happen. Are you delivering at the same hospital with the same medical team? That would concern me because they will most likely use the same technique and you will risk the same outcome. My butterball was a surprise so like I said we didn't know until he actually came out. I was at a teaching hospital so maybe they took more time because an intern was delivering my baby and the ob-gyn coached her thru it. Have you discussed options with your doctor?
At 36 weeks my boy was measuring 8lbs 6oz!!!! We were expecting a big baby, but dang! My doctor says they're usually off a little but just feeling around my belly she can tell he's pretty big and only going to get bigger!!
