I'm 40+2 and came down with a cold today. I'm dreading the idea of going into labor this way but I'm trying to flush it out. Plenty of fluids and vitamin C. Also, I read that if you're breastfeeding, the antibodies you make get passed to the baby and can help protect them from whatever you have.
Breastfeeding protects them...otherwise lots of fluids and wash your hands a TON! Good luck! My dr was going to sweep me at 38+4 and didn't bc I was getting something...thank goodness bc I was sick all week and am still snotty but will beg for my sweep tomorrow at 39+4! lol!!!
