Mucus plug?

TMI sorry- I've been having lots of slimy clear mucus every time I urinate today which I know is normal. I just had a bowel movement and when I got done and wiped, there was mucousy yellow looking stuff on the toilet paper. (Quite a bit) but no blood. Just yellow snotty looking.. Maybe two dollar coins size worth. Is this the beginnings if my mucus plug or am I just overreacting? Lol I'm 35 weeks 3 days and this is my third baby. Never lost a plug with the other two kids.

    Sounds like the plug to me...mine also looked like a light yellow snotty looking thing...mine came out last week...I'm still waiting! Ugh!

    Forgot to mention that Husband and I had sex yesterday and I went and peed immediately as usual and lost a lot of semen. So I don't feel like it would still be semen 24 hours later? Idk. And it's normally not yellow.

    I don't think that it is truly loosing your plug unless it is tinfed with pink, brown, or red.
    I have had a fewonderful times where I found a big glob or two (bigger than a quarter) of yellow mucus in my underwear. The first time was at 28 weeks. I called and the doctor said not to worry, that it was probably just discharge since it was only yellow and I didn't have any cramping or leaking of amniotic fluid. I never had any problems after that and it has happened a few more times. I've also heard you can lose bits of you plug and it regenerates. But if you are worried, you could call. I would just not expect it to be a sign of labor unless it looks like there is blood in it. But I'm a FTM, so maybe I am wrong but that's just what I have understood.

    Ive been having the exact same thing. My OB said if it looks like someone blew their nose in the toilet paper or in your underwear, its most likely pieces of the plug. Good luck :)

    Yeah you can loose it for weeks, and losing your plug doesn't necessarily mean labor is near. I lost my plug with my first at about 38weeks and went 12 days over due before I was induced! I've been getting lots of "snotty" chunky discharge over the last few weeks. 37+5 currently!
