At hospital being induced... Ahh..

Well we are here and have been for about 4 hours. Started with cytotec (sp) and getting pitocin started in about 1 hour! Super nervous! Wanted to avoid induction at costs but little man is just to content and not wanting to come out!! >:D< wish me luck!!!

  • Good luck! I had a great experience being induced :)

  • Best of luck to you!
  • @smiversen Would you mind sharing a little about your experience?  I am going to the doc today at 40+1 with the knowledge that I would have to be induced by 41 weeks since I have GD and have heard some bad stories about induction.  I'd love to know what they gave you etc and what made it a good experience so I can reproduce (no pun intended...) it and have a good one myself if I do need to be induced later this week :)
  • Try not to stress! Not all inductions are difficult. I got induced at 38 weeks due to gestational hypertension and it went great :)>- . You'll do beautifully :D.
  • Hope it's going well!!

I am 40+1 with borderline high BP & GD - attempting VBAC- going in today to see if we can do something to induce me (foley and/or break waters) .... Waiting for the call from hospital when they have an open bed available.... I know it's stressful and scary - but it will be ok :)
