Farting at work

Nothing just... I really want to bitch about it. I can't stop farting. Loudly and with powerful cadence. I've even done it once or twice in front of coworkers. I would laugh at myself but I don't laugh anymore. It's too dangerous.

We are all at or around our third trimester so dignity is no more.

What's been embarrassing you?

  • Haha I love this! My husband and I are very open with each other so it's not often that I get embarrassed in front of him. My farts are horrendous these days. I had a bowl of cereal (I'm lactose intolerant) and gassed him out. He acted like it was the end of the world and it was so embarrassing! Hilarious, but embarrassing.
  • I can't stop farting. DH and I have had the open door poo policy since we started dating 3 years ago so it's not an issue at home. However at work, I think I'm starting to gross out the guys :P
  • After I get off work I head straight for the couch I lay on the opposite end w my butt facing him (it's a sectional) and I just let them rip one after the other, he gets so mad I can't help but laugh at his facial expression though. I've never been a gassy person until 3rd trimester now... I just don't care I let them go at work all over the place and keep on walking. Also for the poop battle post, I used to do this alllll the time in public until I got pregnant and it's been getting difficult to hold it in or if I do I get constipated so I officially have ZERO cares who is near I'm not about to be uncomfortable for days because someone is beside me.
  • Not farting...but I can't stop burping! I used to be a quiet, somewhat subtle burper. Now it sounds like a freight train and they come withough warning!
  • Been tooting up a storm since 1st trimester! My husband & I are pretty open about these things, but what's awful/hilarious for him, is that I have NO control over it, I bend over & I fart, I squat & I fart, sometimes, just WALKING makes me fart! I've even surprised my dog on our walks with my fart. I've started apologizing to him when I do it too!
  • I brought a sensy to work and use it every day to help cover the smell in my office....
  • I once sharted myself as a child in front of a guy I had a crush on, so I always go to the bathroom when I needed to fart.  Learned the hard way that I have no control over the sphincter.  Since becoming pregnant, I'm so constipated that there's no way anything is coming without a big push, so I'll squeeze farts out here and there as needed.  I didn't realize how bad they smelled until I cleared an isle at the grocery store.  Now I try to be a little more careful.

  • I've given up trying to be lady like or hide it. If someone wants to judge me for my smelly farts, so be it! They aren't carrying a little miracle that makes your body rebel against you!
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • Something SUPER embarrassing is when I start to let one out and cut it off... Then laugh and it blows out even harder.
  • Ok, so I just passed out on the couch after dinner while my man watched football. And I kept waking myself up with farts! He would laugh & I'd scold the dog, who is our scapegoat. Then, I'd pass out & do it again! One time I woke up to maybe 5 in a row!
  • My life right now, and if I laugh (always do, farts are funny) it comes out even more. I just say the baby farted.
  • Unfortunately my problem is not the noise but the smell! I have never had so much gas in my life, and I have little to no control over it. I can't tell if it's pregnancy or the Zantac I have been taking for crazy acid reflux, or maybe a combination. In any case I am the grossest person on earth these days, and I am seriously concerned about the impending cold weather and having to close the windows
  • I had such bad gas pains last night while out to a birthday dinner for my dad that I was scared I'd have to go to the hospital. They were HORRENDOUS. My whole stomach hurt, I couldn't sit normal, and they were making me out of breath almost. And they were loud. Ugh. So loud.
