Pregnant after IF

Anyone on 7.5mg of Femara for 7 days?

Hello everyone,

I wanted to see if there are any ladies out there who have been on the same dose of Femara.
I had one pregnancy result from use of Clomid at 100mg days 3 to 7 (3 mature follicles, 24mm, 23mm and 19mm) but this pregnancy resulted in a stillborn daughter.
We then tried again at the same dose but noticed that the Clomid thinned my lining and I wasn't producing any mature eggs, had some hit 14mm but nothing any bigger.
My RE then moved me over to 5mg of Femara, which helped my lining issue, but the largest follicle I produced was 10 or 11mm.
So this cycle he has put me on 7.5 mg of Femara for 7 days (day 3 to 9).

Has anyone else had this type of dosing with Femara?
And if so, what were your results? If you didn't respond to this what did you try next, injectables? And if you tried that, what were you results?

Thanks so much!

  • Hi! I am so sorry about your stillborn daughter. I can't imagine the heartbreak. As for femara, I can't help with that. I used Menopur, which is an injectable and it worked wonders. You might find that the Infertility board might be a better place to post this question, I know quite a few people on that board who have used femara! :)

  • I was on 7.5mg CD 3-7, then one 150iu dose of Menopur on day 10. Follicle check on day 11. The first time with this combo I had two mature eggs on day 11, the next time I needed more
    Menopur.
Everyone responds so differently, it's really hard to compare. Some women respond well to tidbits of clomid, others need large amounts of injectables.
I am sorry for your loss. Good luck with this cycle!
