I need some input on infant car seats. What infant car seat is ur favorite and y? With my first child I had a saftey first car seat and it was so hard to get out of the base to the point I thought it was stuck in the base. I don't want anything to heavy either. Thanks for all your help in advance

I have a baby trend car seat. We like it. We used it for our second LO (born last year) so since its in good condition and hasn't expired yet, we'll be using it again. It comes in and out of the base easily and adjusts well too.

We used a Chico keyfit 30, loved it! Lightweight and snug for baby.

I liked my Graco SnugRide(?)35. No way did it last until my kid weighed that much because holy hell that's a lot of weight, but worked well.

I recommend both the Chicco Keyfit and the Graco Snugride Click Connect(s) (not Classic Connect-they tend not to fit newborns). Babies will typically hit the height limit or 1" from the top before the weight. It's whichever comes first. The Graco will last a bit longer but the Chicco is well loved because it is such an easy install (premium lower anchors that the Graco doesn't have) and it is really compact. Personally, I got tired of carrying the infant seat when my son was around 1 and he was a tiny baby so he didn't get to 1" from the top (no where near 30" or 30lbs) in the Chicco Keyfit. We switched to a convertible at that point and he's still rearfacing in that seat.
