Weeks/Fruit: 6 weeks / Sweet Pea

Symptoms: Nothing is severe yet, but I am experiencing lower back pain and tender nipples. I'm still really thirsty and I have to pee at least once during the night.

Appointments: 2 weeks to go! October 5th can't get here soon enough!

Rants/Raves: I'm surprised I still have so much energy being my second baby!

QOTW: Are you bilingual? Will you teach your kid any other languages besides English? No, and as of right now we are only teaching our daughter English.

Weeks/Fruit: 4/poppy seed

Symptoms: Thirsty and I think I am noticing a little more hunger. But that could be thirst in disguise. Bloat!

Appointments: none yet. Waiting for a call back from the doctors office.

Rants/Raves: Not much but DH is a little more affectionate than usual which is nice.

QOTW: Are you bilingual? Will you teach your kid any other languages besides English?
I am not but I can count to 10 in English, Spanish, French, and Hmong. I would like my kid to learn Spanish. I think they are teaching it in most elementary schools around me now.

Weeks/Fruit: 6w/3d - Blueberry

Symptoms: Fatigue/exhausted, bloating, sense of smell is heightened and sore boobs.

Appointments: I have an appointment this Friday morning. Taking a half day.

Rants/Raves: It's Monday and I'm at work. I want to go back to sleep.

QOTW: Are you bilingual? Will you teach your kid any other languages besides English? Yes, we will try most of the time. My daughter can understand Laotian and Spanish. At one point we taught ASL but I need to get back into that with this next kiddo.

Weeks/Fruit: 4w1d/ poppy seed

Symptoms: SO thirsty all the time.

Appointments: Tomorrow. I called to get an appt. and based on my LMP I am 7w2d so she went off of that. They'll get a surprise when theres nothing to see on the u/s. I told you, lol!

Rants/Raves: Doing good. Im just scared for the M/S to kick in. I have a job interview tomorrow after the drs. If i get this job it would be great.

QOTW: Are you bilingual? Will you teach your kid any other languages besides English? I will teach English but they learn basic Spanish in the elementary schools here.

Weeks/Fruit: 4 weeks/poppyseed

Symptoms: I've had some pulling in the general uterus area, I'm exhausted, and I'm pretty sure I read about everyone else experiencing insomnia that I got to have it last night too. So glad I can join you all! I have a feeling morning sickness is going to hit later this week or next. Just waiting for it. I know I'm not one of those lucky ladies that won't get it. Oh and my boobs are super heavy.

Appointments: October 13 - seems so. far. away.

Rants/Raves: Is anyone else so bloated already that they can barely button their pants? I obviously won't be buying maternity pants, but if this keeps up, I really might have to invest in a belly band. I don't want to walk around work with my pants unbuttoned!

QOTW: Are you bilingual? Will you teach your kid any other languages besides English? Nope, I took French for 3 years and can't speak a word of it. I think I can still understand some of it. I don't think we will teach them a second language but will encourage them to learn if that is what they are interested in.

Weeks/Fruit: 8 weeks - raspberry

Symptoms: I swear it is round ligament pain (does that even happen this early?) and nausea, but luckily less actual vomiting! Hooray!

Appointments: Sept 29th...getting closer!

Rants/Raves: None of my maternity pants from last time fit! My thunder thighs have already ripped clean through my favorite pair of maternity dress pants. Boo!

QOTW: Are you bilingual? Will you teach your kid any other languages besides English? I only speak English, but my sister is fluent in Spanish so she is teaching my son. We did Baby Sign Language with him and my ILs are teaching him Italian so we will do the same with this nugget.

Weeks/Fruit: 5 Weeks / Appleseed

Symptoms: Some bloating and lower back pain (although that may be from my pilates class last week). Not much else yet!

Appointments: Not scheduled yet, I just got my BFP last Friday so I plan to call and schedule an appointment later this week.

Rants/Raves: DH and I are just super excited. This is our first pregnancy and it doesn't seem real yet.

QOTW: Are you bilingual? Will you teach your kid any other languages besides English? Neither DH or I are bilingual, so it would be hard to teach beyond what they will learn in school. I took Spanish in high school so I can understand some of it, but not enough to teach it. We may teach some sign language.

@mrstmoose I took French for 3 years too and remember barely anything. All I can do is count to 10 and say I like chicken.

Just to clarify with you all. These threads are for if your weeks change over on Mondays (ie. if you're 4 weeks 0 days, 6 weeks 0 days, etc.) Does that make sense? Hopefully this will pick up and people will start posting these everyday so that you have a chance so update us on a weekly basis.

Weeks/Fruit: 8 weeks 0 days. Raspberry.

Symptoms: Light cramping, nausea, and committing.

Appointments: Today is my first appointment. I am very excited and slightly nervous. DH is going with me.

Rants/Raves: No rants. Just happy to be pregnant.

QOTW: Are you bilingual? Will you teach your kid any other languages besides English?: I am bilingual. Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL) are more than likely what I plan to teach my child at home.

Do we really want one of these things running every single day? Once a week is enough don't you think?

Honestly I think they are fairly silly going on forever until May, but it's a good GTKY thread at the beginning. Do we really need to segregate people into the days of the week.

I would agree - I think the daily might get to be a little much but it is a good way to keep the "anyone else feeling sick" threads to a minimum. I would rather see one of these daily versus 10 of the other threads. I would be ok with whoever wants to post in it can, it's a good way to vent and talk about what you're feeling (again, instead of making another thread about it).

When I was apart of S13 they did these everyday and it did not fill up the board. It doesn't matter to me though if we continue that or not. I just remember it was nice to see updates from the same group of people each week.

Weeks/Fruit: 8 weeks/raspberry

Symptoms: All the usual stuff - nausea, feeling tired. Also had awful heartburn this morning and that didn't hit until 3rd trimester last time, so I'm not super excited.

Appointments: Next Monday! I technically could have gone this week, but we love the doctor that delivered DS and can't wait to catch up with her.

Rants/Raves: Fall is here and I can finally walk around without sweating to death.

QOTW: Are you bilingual? Will you teach your kid any other languages besides English? I'm not bilingual, but DH is originally from Sweden and is half Swedish/half Finnish, so DS is learning English, Swedish and a little Finnish. He also knows a few ASL words. Next baby will be the same since my in-laws speak primarily in Swedish.

Weeks/Fruit: 8 weeks 0 days. Raspberry.

Symptoms: Boobs hurt, eating a ton, still no morning sickness!

Appointments: October 1 and October 24 will be my ultrasound. I'm so impatient!

Rants/Raves: No rants other than I'm so tired it is hard to build up motivation to do anything!

QOTW: Are you bilingual? Will you teach your kid any other languages besides English?: Neither of us are bilingual but my husband took many years of Spanish classes and we might put my daughter in a dual language school so we'll see!
