Stretch Marks Already?!??!??

Hello Ladies!

I know this might be a silly question but please bare with me I'm a first time mum to be! I'm currently 11+3 and I'm already getting stretch marks on my lower stomach pretty much just where my uterus would be. I'm only asking if this is normal so early because I don't feel that I have "stretched" out that much in that area to have stretch marks already.. I was never super skinny before conceiving so it's I'm just a little confused..

Xx

Re: Stretch Marks Already?!??!??

  • It can happen and it's due to genetics most of the time. Keeping hydrated and keeping the skin moisturized can help but you can't change you genes. I've been using palmers coca butter and the honest company belly balm to help with itchiness that will come later but stretch marks are inevitable for me too.
Keeping weight gain in check can help with the severity and amount of marks as well.

  • With my first pregnancy I also started getting stretch marks early on. It does have a lot to do with genetics.
  • Thank you ladies :)
  • I am not getting new ones I don't think, but I have noticed that the few I got with my son (which didn't appear until I was past my due date) are getting darker again. Weird.
