Question for Bottle Feeders

How much is LO eating and how often? I know there is no "right" or "wrong" but I am looking to see if we are on track.

My guy is almost 11lbs at 6 days old and is eating about 2.5 oz every 3-4 hours. He sometimes still seems hungry after the feeding, but often ends up spitting out some of the milk at the end.

This breastmilk is precious so I don't want to waste, but I of course want a healthy baby first and foremost!

    Our pediatrician said roughly 3-4 oz every 3-4 hrs, but the important thing is that they are gaining and wetting enough diapers. Keeping them upright during and for about 30 mn after a feeding and burping often helps. Also doing a diaper change in the middle of a feeding can let things settle and start to move through. We propped up our changing pad to keep her upright during her diaper changes.

    I would let your lo eat as much as he wants. All babies spit up, and I keep hearing that you can't over feed breast fed babies

    He nurses and gets a few bottles of bm. When he eats a bottle, he eats 2-3 oz every 2 hours. He sleeps a little longer at night and goes about 3-4 hours then. He is 9 days old.

    My one week old eats 3oz of a mix of. Formula and BMI every three hours

    My three week old is a little piggy. She takes 5.5 oz of formula roughly every four hours (sometimes longer at night). When she was a week old, I think she was taking 3 oz every 3 - 4 hours.

    My girl is a week old today. We do 2-2.5 oz about every 3 hours. My pediatrician said not to worry too much about over feeding since they'll puke up whatever is too much for them. I get what you're saying though because I feed her breast milk through a bottle and that stuff is definitely precious!

    Thank goodness! Mines a pig too, he does 5.5-6 every 3 hours but goes a bit longer at night as well.  He is 6 weeks old tomorrow, I don't remember my first passing 3 oz until much later.
