Heart murmur

At my sons 2 month check today our dr noticed a heart murmur. So tomorrow we get an ekg and ultrasound of his heart. Im too worried to sleep now. Hes eating very well and has gained 4 pounds since birth. He breathes loudly sometimes but i thought that was common in littles. This is gonna be a long awful night :(

    My brother had this. And he grew out of it. He's 21 now. And healthy. It's gonna be ok. Hugs to you.

    My older two both had murmurs, quite normal and they both have grown out of them. I understand your stress but everything will be fine!

    I was born with a heart murmur, mine closed on its own. Happy and healthy at 25! Try not to stress too much mama they are more common than you would think.

    I was born with one too and still have it. But healthy and nothing wrong with my heart. Good luck.

    Thanks ladies. Got the echo done today and the dr called back around 6pm. They said the heart structure is perfect but he has a tiny hole. Apparently when inside that hole is there to get more oxygen to the babym he was a month early and the hole didnt close. Not what i wanted to hear but they didnt seem extremely worried. Does anyone else have experience of this? Do they usually close up themselves? Back to freak out mode!

    I had this :) don't worry, growing up I actually used it as a joke haha I would say, "oh no! You put a hole in my heart! Oh wait...you didn't! It was already there!" Haha I was in middle school :P but I was a almost 3 months early and I also had pulmonary stenosis along with the hole in the heart thing and it resolved on its own :) I still have a slight murmur, but everything is fine. And if the doctors aren't worried about it, I wouldn't worry too much. Just breathe and relax and think...it could be worst. :D

    I was born with a tiny hole and a heart murmur too, which weren't detected til I was 18 months old! both sorted themselves out and never had any probs
