Failed D&C

Anyone have experience with this? Mine failed and I ended up miscarrying naturally a week later.... I can't find any info on this online. My follow up Dr appt is next week. Thanks,

    I had a d&c after bleeding for 3 weeks and they removed retained tissue. I was getting excruciating stomach pains 4 days out so my gp sent me for an ultrasound and my uterus was full of clots, blood and possibly more retained tissue. I went back to my midwife who got the surgeon to see me. He decided to just wait and see for 2 weeks in the hope it would resolve itself. A week later I was on the phone and suddenly lost about 1 litre of blood in one go. Then the bleeding tapered off and on my follow up ultrasound there was only a small amount left so they left it there.

    I think it can be common. My doctor warned me about it before I went in.

    I had a similar experience last August. The dr didn't get all of the tissue with the d&c. I took misoprostol hoping that would get the rest of the tissue out but that did not work and I ended up having to have a second d&c a week later. Hang in there!
