So I know I just posted this in the TTGP group, but it's such a fun question - What is your favorite Starbucks drink?
I think mine was actually the smores but it's so unhealthy and I'm allergic to everything in it... So now I just get a salted caramel hot chocolate made with coconut milk.
I have a theory that you can tell allot about a person by what they order when at a coffee joint - so how about it?

I love their white chocolate mocha. Not sure it qualifies as actual coffee though haha.

If I'm feeling coffee to pick me up and go I'll get a Caffe' Americano. If I just need something quick and warm I will get an Jade Citrus Mint hot tea.

I usually get the Mocha Frap double blended with a shot of espresso. I very rarely get anything different. I did try a mint chocolate one they had around St Patrick's day which was AMAZING!

I don't like coffee, so I usually get regular hot chocolate or a cold chocolate drink.

I'm a wet blanket... On our quest to be debt free, pricey coffee just isn't in budget so I only get Starbucks if I'm getting paid to go there as part of a secret shopper survey, and in those cases they typically tell you what to order. H and I do go on coffee walks every Saturday/Sunday to the nearby Einstein Bagel to get $1 refills of their regular hazelnut roast. Yum! Otherwise, it's cheapo Taster's Choice from Costco for me!! Debt free will be much more delicious than any latte or frappuccino.

Like @als1982 I'm on a tight budget so my Starbucks trips have waned down to once a week. But those once a week trips are extra special to me now!

My favorite drink is a caramel latte. I always have them with my mom when she visits and they're just the right amount of sweet. I can have one when I'm homesick and it just picks me right up.

I don't like coffee, but I do love thier caramel Brule latte that comes out during the holidays. So delish.

In the summer I'll get their raspberry lemonade shaken tea things! So sweet and refreshing.

I think we have some different menus up here in Canada because I worked st a Starbucks in university and have never heard of some of these drinks!

I have a bona fide Starbucks problem. I feel really proud of myself if I go without for a day. It's bad, y'all. So that being said it's either a grande skinny caramel latte (at 130 degrees so I can drink it right away). Or a pumpkin spice latte non fat no whip.

When we decided to hold off on TTC the one thing I was happy about was getting to have my lattes again.

Here's a fun math problem: Say at age 25, someone elects to give up daily Starbucks addiction for a single year and instead invests that daily $3.75. That just one year of approximately $1,400 saved, making an average rate of return in the stock market will total $22,500 by the time said former Starbucks addict is 65. And that's just one year!! I get that we all have our vices and everyone's financial priorities are different, but the amount that some people spend on coffee mixed with sugar and cream in a day/year/lifetime is truly mind blowing to me.

@HookEmNelson Husby is a teacher! He always hands over gift cards to me unless they're iTunes (he's the only person left on the planet that pays for music). He'll hand them to me and say, "Teacher appreciation, wife appreciation." He's a smart one to say the least.

I rarely go to Starbucks. It started for financial reasons, but since we started brewing our own coffee at home, that is now what I crave. We've got a grinder and buy decent whole bean coffee. It may be $10-12 a pound, but is still SOOO much better a value then us both buying a coffee a day at Starbucks or DD. If I'm stuck at a conference, etc. and need to go to Starbucks, I'll usually get a drip iced coffee.

A grande blonde roast. No milk, no sugar. I love a good cappuccino or a double espresso after dinner, but I don't think The Starbucks ones are any good.

My go-to drink is a grande iced caramel macchiato. Especially on hot days like this!

Although I understand your point, I believe Starbucks purchases are not the make or break it moment in anyone's budget. It's all about prioritizing spending. I'd rather spend that much on a coffee that I thoroughly enjoy, and cut back on something else that would have more of a financial impact overall and invest that money. At the end of the day, a couple of bucks on a coffee is pretty minimal, and if need be I'd rather cut cable than my caffeine!

@RachelT1234 I agree on finding those priority items to enjoy. Especially now that I don't drink alcohol, being able to enjoy a sweet pick me up from time to time is extra nice.

Totally! Clean up and Christmas and it keeps me in coffee for most of the year

A mocha with less pumps. So if it's small, 2 pumps instead of 3.

I don't go to Starbucks or even drink coffee that often. But on the rare occasion I do go, I love the Caramel Dulce Latte (only available during the holidays) or the Caramel Mocha Latte.

DH is the coffee drinker, I'm not really at all. IF I do get something at one of the many Starbucks stops he makes... it's usually a chai tea latte since it's not very coffee ish.

I *try* to only go to Starbucks once a week. I used to work at Starbucks and got hooked.

When I'm at home I just have a dark roast coffee with honey.

During the summer I splurge on the Caramel Frappacino or Iced Carmel Macchiato.

Once it is cooler, I switch to Caramel Macchiato or Caramel Latte.

However, my favorite is Caramel Brulee Latte at the holidays. I would drink that year round. I did figure out how to make it when I worked at Starbucks with their normal syrups but don't want to always bother the baristas. In case anyone needs a pick me up,for a grande size: 1 pump white mocha, 3 pumps caramel, 1 pump hazelnut, with whipcream.

@als1982 - fair point, it does add up, especially if you assume one who does not go to Starbucks actually invests the savings rather than spending it elsewhere. You could add up almost any expense and it would be staggering after decades of interest.

I'll assume you didn't mean to sound judgey, but it kinda came off that way.

I wasn't being judgmental, I just don't think most people really grasp the impact of being mindful of every single dollar spent. Being thoughtful about not having a pricy cup of coffee and/or making sure to brown bag your lunch every day can really make a life changing difference. And truly, no judgement from me about how others spend their money, except when it comes to those who drink $4 coffees and then complain about being broke...
