1 month old sleeping on side

It makes me nervous but my baby refuses to be swaddled in the middle of the night and immediately rolls to his side. When he does this, he's fast asleep. Arms are out in front of him so I really don't think he can roll over, but it makes me nervous. Anyone else have a side sleeper? Not use to this, his sister was an amazing back sleeper.

Mine has slept on his side from the beginning.
Edit: He could still get on his side swaddled in a blanket. When he's in the sleep sack he can't, but he sleeps great still.

  • LO has slept on her side since birth swaddled and all
  • My LO likes sleeping on her side too. No issues with it and she's a month old.

My little man loves to sleep on his side since birth and his sister did too. Don,t worry, let him sleep
  • So long as you put them on their back first you're fine. What they do after that shouldn't be a huge deal. Though I would recommend a sleep sack rather than swaddling if your babies can roll to their sides themselves. You wouldn't want them to roll onto their tummy in their swaddle in the middle of the night.

Ugh we arw trying to move to a sleep sack honestly bc swaddling sucks to do in the middle of the night, but so far she hates the swaddlemes and the woombie. She hasnt done good with her legs being free to roam in them. We are going to order a couple other kinds to see how it goes.

This is the exact advice my pedi gave me with my first daughter.
