I am breastfeeding my DS exclusively, but also pumping. Due to a ton of issues in the first 7 weeks, he only nurses from my right side all day every day. I'm afraid to let my left side COMPLETELY dry up, though, (because sometimes when he is extremely fussy at night he will take it), so I pump my left once a day and get anywhere from 1.5 to 3 ounces. I store the milk I get from my left for any times I want to go out, etc. and I've also been blessed to donate some to a mama in need.

I only pump to have a little bit stored in the fridge (2-3 times a day). We use it to make 2 bottles a day (between 20-35 mil. Per bottle) & one bottle gets a drop of vitamin D, the other gets the probiotic powder mixed in.
EBF here since day one. No formula or pumping either, same as with my other two children which I was very lucky I never had to supplement with formula.
So it's not good if you can't breastfeed? I say way to go all great moms out there, No matter how you are feeding them!
This whole post seems like an attempt to mom shame to me!
How is this mom shaming? Whether you formula feed or breastfeed, both are discriminated against equally. Both get shit either from pro "breast is best" or anti "ew we don't want to see your boob in public." Either way the baby needs to eat so this is just a simple poll to see what everyone is doing. I don't get how it is shaming.

I agree the poll is fine to see what everyone is doing. But then for the creator of the poll to comment and say that it is good to see so many breastfeeding. I felt that was a little wrong to those who can't or have chosen not to.

Sorry! Didn't mean it in a bad way. I don't even breastfeed myself. My babies on half expressed milk and half formula.

Maybe I just got defensive. I assumed you were breastfeeding too and felt that was best wanting to pat other exclusively breastfeeding moms on the back. I see now that you didn't mean it that way and I apologize.
