What can I expect from my first fertility appointment?

Hello all, 

I know this may be very subjective, but I'm curious about your experiences.

Background: I was dx with PCOS 10 years ago and for a long time I was asymptomatic. My periods were normal, I was a good weight and I got pregnant with DS1 almost immediately.

Now, I've been trying for over a year and I have multiple patches of EWCM, multiple +OPK a month, late or no ovulation and ram don spotting. I've also gained 15lbs since I got pregnant with DS1 2 1/2 years ago. I have also had 2 miscarriages in a year.

I assume I'll have blood work next week - anything else I should be prepared for? 
DS#1: born Dec 29, 2013 
TTC#2 since Sept 2014 - unexplained secondary IF
BFP #2: 11.7.14  M/C: 11.27.14 @ 6w3days
BFP #3: 04.19.2015 M/C 04.27.15 @ 4w3days
BFP #4: 10.05.2015 C/P @ 3w4days
Oct 11, 2015: Cycle 13. Starting Femara (2.5mg). HSG this cycle (all clear) - BFN
Nov 12, 2015: Cyle 14. Femara 5mg + IUI - BFN
Dec 10, 2015: Cycle 15. Femara 5mg + IUI #2 - BFP #5! C/P 4w4d
Jan 10, 2016: Cycle 16. Femara 5mg + IUI #3 - BFN.
Feb 10, 2016: Cycle 17.  No IUI or meds. Taking a break - Natural BFP Mar 5, 2016!!!! EDD Nov 16, 2016
Moving to IVF March 2016
Beta at 10dpo: 21, Beta at 12dpo: 98, Beta at 14dpo: 264, Beta at 16dpo: 745
U/S 6w6d: single beautiful heartbeat of 121bpm - It's a boy!!!!
Nov 3, 2016: Our family became complete. Welcome DS #2.

    My first appointment with the RE involved blood work, a date with the vag cam, and a convo with the Doc.

    Kid #2 - maybe???
    Diagnosed with Severe Ashermans 
    Hysteroscopy #10 - scar tissue grew back reblocking my right tube
    #11 or IVF with scarring still inside?
    1 lone embryo from September 2016 retreival, dx with Trisomy 16, starting fresh

    Our first appointment was mostly going over our history of losses/talking to the doctor about our treatment options, blood work, and vag cam.
    Me: 31     DH: 33

    Ditto! Blood work, internal u/s, and a convo with Re nurse and RE.

    Married July 2011

    DD Born 8/12

    TTC #2 since 11/13

    ME: Submucosal Fibroid Surgery Date APRIL 14th 2015 -Left Tube is blocked by Fibroid~Surgeon removed 26 Fibroids from my Ute and Unblocked my Tube

    DH:Azoospermia...Thank God we have 12 vials of frozen swimmers

    July 15-Check to see if Ute is all healed

    IUI #1 8/3/15...BFN

    IUI #2 9/5/15...BFP on 9/17/15

    Beta #1-344

    Beta #2-809

    Beta #3 8,390

    1st u/s 8/8/15 1 bean HB 135 @ 6w5d

    I just had a consultation with the doc on my first appt. Then got a lot of paperwork from the nurse. I think I went back the next time for blood work and ultrasound.

    Before I went to my RE we did bloodwork, semen analysis and I had the HPG test to check my tubes (one is blocked).  My first appt we sat down with the RE who asked a million questions about our health, family history, ideal plans for the future, etc... I also had blood work and sonogram and was assigned my nurse.  My husband also had bloodwork done at that appt.  Later that day, someone from their financial team called to walk us through everything our insurance did and did not cover.  They also sent us home with a ton of paperwork and consent forms.  Good luck!
