FET 3rd attempt

Hey guys me and my wife have just had our third try of IVF (fet) I was wondering if there has been any success from anyone on a third try or anyone thinks it could be the embryos used in that batch are not genetically right ?
We had 4 frozen all at blastasist stage all good embryos ?
Also... This time we have transferred 2 embryos.. Has anyone had a transfer with ultrasound? I asked if last time it was inserted correctly as it seemed rushed...

Re: FET 3rd attempt

  • Mine were both done with ultrasound. Standard procedure at my clinic.

  • I've only ever had transfers with ultrasound. I was under the impression that was sop.

The reality is though that without pgd or pgs, there's no way to know if even good looking embryos have chromosomal abnormalities. I've had transfers where a poor looking embryo resulted in a healthy baby and a transfer where great looking embryos gave me a BFN.

Wishing you luck and that the third time is a charm!

  • Unfortunately it really seems to be random luck as far as which blasts takr and which ones dont... but having high quality 5 day blasts definitely gives the best results when doing ivf. I know it's so hard and frustrating but don't give up hope. If u can afford it (insurance doesn't cover it usually) then I would definitely recommend pgs testing as pp said.
And yes, I think transfers are always done with ultrasound. Definitely don't let ur doctor rush the transfer process... if u feel it's being rushed definitely talk to ur doc about it
Good luck to u and ur wife! :-)
