I know there was a tattoo question in one of the GTKY RTT threads back in June. But how about showing them off? Now keep it Klassy, no risqué shots or someone might report you. If it's in a naughty spot, give us a description. Also, meanings and significance would help too.

I have a thing for skulls, and here are 2 of my tattoos. I have 4, but I don't have pictures of the other 2 right now. The skull butterfly is on my left shoulder, and the other is on my left boob.

My sister and I each got a tattoo together about 16 months ago. It is my only tattoo, for now. Mine is on the underside of my left upper arm. My sister got hers down the side of her torso on the right. She has 4 tattoos.

Too lazy to post pics so I'll describe mine.

My first takes up most of my upper right back. It's an anchor with waves around it and it says "Whale Haven" underneath. It's a tribute to the beach house my family owned as a kid, and the absolute best place in the world as far as childhood memories go. I got it a few days after turning 18.

My second tattoo I got on my 22nd birthday. Me and baby daddy were together at the time, and we wanted coordinated tattoos but nothing that we would hate upon parting ways. His last name means "ruler of the world" and I've always had a bit of a queen bee attitude, so we both got crowns. Mine is on the left of my chest, and has a crown with a lily (one of my favorite flowers).

My third tattoo I got earlier this year, also at 22. It is on the inside of my left ankle and says "GEB". It stands for green eyed bandit, which is a name my dad has always called me. I was so nicknamed because apparently when I was born, I stole my dad's heart.

They are all b&w and I love them all. If I had the money I would be super tatted for sure.

I have upwards of 15 or 16. I've lost count. So I'll show off a few of my favs that are easy to photograph while sitting on the couch. I have a huge obsession with sharks but wanted something more whimsical than just a shark. Alice in Wonderland is my all-time favourite story but, I didn't want the traditional Alice image so I combined it with a sugar skull design. The banana teacup is for my kitties (one named Alice = the tea cup and the other Chloe Banana = the bananas. You can see their initials on the tea bag tag). The anchor I got with my sister a few years ago; she has a matching one. And the clover my mum, sister and I all got together one day spur of the moment.

Sorry. Ended up saying more than I thought! Good thing I'm not sharing all of them, haha. And don't mind my scabs...mosquitos are a SOB.

I could only dig up a good picture of one of them.
I have a butterfly that I drew between my shoulder blades with "To thine own self be true" written above it.
A psychedelic looking star on the back if my neck.
Butterfly on my hip that was just flash because I just wanted a tattoo and was 17.
My first is on my lower back, a pink star with black not-quite-tribal stuff off to the sides.
My favorite, even though it's the smallest, is the heart on my wrist. DH and I got them matching at 6 weeks of being together. Everyone thought we were insane, but who's laughing now.

I have 4 tattoos. 1 is a tramp stamp that I got on the spur of the moment at 18. Totally not me. But I try to take some meaning out of it so that I don't hate it.
Next was the lotus on my inner foot pictured below. I love it. Only need to google lotus meaning to see why I got it.
Then I got the feather below, which is on my thigh. It is meant to be an angel feather with "here comes the sun" being the song I suprised my dad with (huge Beatles fan) and walked down the aisle to with him on my wedding day. Plus I like that it is like, here comes the sun after all the crappy weather (double meaning). Turquoise hearts for healing.
Then lastly a matching heart tattoo on my ribs that my best friend and I got in Bali.

All of these were taken on the day they were done, so excuse the redness and swelling, but on my rib cage is "Stay True" in my handwriting. Just meant as a reminder to be who I am before I make changes for someone else. Then my feet say "dream without fears, love without limits." Pretty self explanatory. I'm itching for more ink!

Your tatt for your dad gave me a lump in my throat. Very touching.

My favorite of my two tattoos, also by far the larger. I have a lot of military in my family (grandpa, dad, DH and many many friends) this was kinda meant as my guardian angel for all of them. First time attaching a picture so I hope it works

I definitely want to get a tattoo for my kids, they will only be 12-13 months apart. But in having a hard time coming up with something unique. I don't want something baby-ish (teddy bears, blocks, handprints, etc.) Those just aren't me. Who knows, maybe by the time they're 18, I'll make a decision

DH and I always wanted to get tats for each other and any kids that came along. We got married relatively young (I was 22) and had DD within the first year... Suffice it to say, we haven't had the funds lately to be getting professional ink. Whenever it becomes fiscally possible, I plan to actually have a bare tree in b&w done between my shoulder blades with enough space between branches that I can add dates and birds sitting in the branches for each family member (DH and I were always called "the lovebirds" by friends and my DD is nicknamed "Roly Bird" so it just seems we have a thing for birds). Goodness knows when I'll finally be able to afford it, though. Maybe I should start a kick starter campaign... I heard some guy did that for spaghetti and made over $1,000?? Hahaha just kidding... But for real, feel free to donate to my "ink me" fund. ;P

Most of mine were done in South Korea. The one in the middle of my back is a cover up of a horrible fairy i got when I was 18. It was SO painful since it was over scar tissue. The chinese symbol means love and the korean Hangul symbol means friendship. I have female and male sugar skulls symbolizing both my latina heritage and the masculine and feminine sides of myself. The bird flying out of the cage symbolizes my long fight and success of obtaining freedom from the former personal burdens in my life. The grateful dead bear was because I thought it was cute. I have ribbons on the back of my thighs too.

I have my sister's initials in her handwriting. She died when I was pregnant with DS and was my best friend so after I had DS I got the tattoo on what would have been her birthday. It's on the inside of my right wrist.

It's Harry Potter!!! And a completely normal obsession I remember being at the bookstore at midnight for the last book and poster LOL yup I was well into my 20's
