Baby is kicking my bladder!

Im starting this discussion because im a little worried. With my first pregnancy i never felt baby kick so low. Now with this pregnancy i feel like she is always on my bladder and its about to pop! Its really uncomfortable especially at night. Not to mention im up majority of night peeing! Any similar experiences? Is this normal for her to kick so low?

Re: Baby is kicking my bladder!

  • It's gone the opposite for me. DS was always really low and it felt like he was crushing my bladder all the time. I remember it feeling like I needed to go all the time but I'd hardly get anything out. This time Bun is up high and rarely touches my bladder. I'll admit, it's kind of been heaven in comparison.

  • That's my little girl's favorite spot to kick, absolutely normal. Why do you think we're always peeing? ;) extra pressure from baby lol
  • I about peed my pants in the car today! Poor DH was trying to get us home as fast as he could, she moved and was sitting right on my bladder! One of many close calls these days. :))
  • My LO always hides really low, he has the option of going as high as my ribs but he just doesn't want to, he likes to hide and kick my bladder making me rush to the bathroom only for a few drops to come out :))
  • My ds finds comfort with his head positioned in mine. Keeps me going to the restroom.

Totally normal. Mine uses it like a trampoline.
  • Baby boy uses my bladder as a punching bag some days! Totally know what you me. It's so unexpected when it happens! Wear a panty liner just incase ;)
  • My lo kicks so low sometimes i get a sharp pain and it feels like something is gonna fall out. I try and lay down and gently move him out of the way. Sometimes he gets the hint. For all you ftm's panty liners will become your new best friend this late in pregnancy and post partum until you build your muscles back up. Sneezing and coughing will be your enemy!! This is my third and i never leave the house without one!
  • I am totally feeling the same. I have an anterior placenta so I don't feel her as much up top, plus she is head up so she is totally dancing on my bladder all the time, lol
  • Wait until they rest on your bladder and have a foot in your ribs at the same time... fun times lol
  • Normal. DD has been snuggling up to my bladder since forever it feels like. I'll be going about minding my own business, and then she'll just slam into it. She likes to do it when I'm nowhere near a restroom, and by the time I'm just minutes away from one she eases up.

  • Lol i love all the shared stories thank you! All of these things are happening to me as well. And oh yes ladies panty liners have been my best friend for a good while now!
  • So DD is breech and I have an anterior placenta, so her feet are at the bottom and her head is near my belly button AND I can really feel her low! This means when she's fidgety, she's either kicking my cervix or my bladder lol. Even when I just peed, I feel like I have to pee again, it's such a weird feeling when she kicks!
