Right there with you... although I'd kill to not be having trouble sleeping. Try upping your water and potassium intake for the leg cramps. Also message and stretch, message and stretch
Drink more water(8 to 12 glasses) to prevent cramps caused by dehydration. If you don't like to drink plain water, you can include milk, juice (avoid juice packed with sugar), sparkling water and decaf tea and coffee in the mix too.
I would go with what PP have mentioned for prevention. As for what to do if you get one, if it's in your calf (I can't speak for them any where else) just stand up and put weight on it. I guess it's something about pressure and stretching. I've done it and it works immediately!!
My doctor told me to take two extra strength tums a day. I take them every night before I go to bed and no more cramps! Something about the baby is taking all your calcium and that causes leg cramps.
Have you had your iron checked? I was getting ridiculous leg cramps often, but when I had my iron checked, my midwife said I was anemic and put me on extra iron right away... I haven't really had any since and it's been several weeks. I would wake up nearly crying from the leg cramps.
This!! The other night I woke up SCREAMING I had one that hurt so bad! Lol I think flip flops are the cause of mine but I can't see myself giving those up being this big.. Lol
