I suppose I should introduce myself. I don't know why I didn't come on during my pregnancy this time, but here I am now. I've been around these sites for a over a decade now and was very active when I had my daughter. I was looking around to see if anyone was experiencing poop issues with their LOs the other night and decided to sign back in.

My son Finn was born 8.11.15 via scheduled induction, so he's roughly 5 weeks old now. He was 8lbs even and 21 inches. My daughter will be 5 this December.

My baby has had a little poop issues. Only about a quarter size spot in her diaper for most of the chantings but she would have at least 2-3 good poops.

Not yet. He poops very infrequently (the worst so far was 52 hours...) and is screaming when he had gas and poops. And is uncomfortable in between.

We've tried me pumping all my milk and treating it to remove the lactose, me removing dairy from my diet, a lactose and soy free formula, various gas drops, prune juice, and now we are trying milk of magnesia. Nothing seems to have made it any better and I really wanted nursing to work out this time, but pumping 8x a day is just all consuming with also having to feed him and clean all the bottles and such.

FYI: it can take up to a few weeks for the dairy to get out of your system. I had to cut dairy last time until DD was 6 months old. It took about 2 weeks before I noticed a big improvement. I hope things get better for you both!

I'm sorry to hear that. We had to use prune juice and pedialyte 2x a day each for two weeks after using a liquid suppository to get him cleared out. He no longer screams for poops. Those two weeks were miserable.

Thanks, I didn't realize that. And it just occurred to me that I haven't given up cookies and muffins. They probably have butter in them. Did you have to go that far or just the obvious milk, cheese, yogurt, pats of butter, etc? If it's products baked with butter I totally screwed up. I've been off the obvious stuff for a week.

The prune juice worked at first...then it stopped working. We haven't tried a suppository yet. I suppose the pedi might go there next.

We did get a poop yesterday, 36 hours, that was our best yet since this started. But then roughly 12 hours later he's so uncomfortable.
