Nickname ideas

DS is David James III and we need a nickname for him. I thought that he might grow into something but nothing so far. I call his dad David and his family calls him DJ, so that's out of the question. And, his grad father was Dave. I've been calling him Baby David or peanut but I need something long lasting! Oh and I hate the idea of Davey, makes me think of Davey Crocket...

I knew a David nicknamed Dubs which I think is quite cute. You could also work with James and have some spin on jimmy or Jim...?

A lot of thirds go by Trey. Or you could just use his middle name only.

I like Trey, as pp mentioned, or I have a friend that goes by DJ but his friends call him "deeg". I'm not sure if that's how you would actually spell it. Looks/sounds weird now that I'm writing it out but it sounds completely normal when I hear his friends call him that.

I know a few thirds that go by Tripp. Patrick was almost a Tripp, but he would have been a Jason John, and I HATE JJ!
