  Mine is a gripe followed up with thanks...
  
  My H and I have our shows that we watch and most days were catching up on them with On Demand. So this week we started a show while eating dinner. The baby started crying so I had to stop eating, feed her, change her and walk (not rock) her back to sleep. When I finally come back downstairs, my husband is in the other room playing a game in the computer. I tell him I'm ready to restart the show and he kept playing for another 30 minutes. It was 10pm at this point and I told him forget it and I went to bed. I was upset for various reasons.
  
  The next morning as I was making my tea he came up and hugged me. He said he was sorry for playing his game and that he should have spent the time with me because I'm home alone with the baby all day and we should spend our time together when we can.
  
  We're both going to do or say the wrong thing time and again, but I'm thankful that he recognizes when he hurts my feelings and apologizes. He's a great dad and husband and I'm lucky that he's not stubborn like me!

  Mine is kind of a gripe, thankful post too.

  
  

  DH wants me to start pumping.  I wanted to wait another 2 weeks or so since I know I have months of pumping ahead of me.

  
  

  But...he wants me to pump so we can get a couple hours away from the kids because we really haven't had time together since the baby was born.  So we agreed that I would just pump enough for the time we are away, not start building my stash yet.

  I am thankful that I have a happy baby. He wakes up happy and stays happy majority of the day. I am also thankful that I have finally figured out his cries, it makes our lives so much easier! I am also thankful tomorrow is Friday and my husband is off!!!!!!

  I am thankful that baby girl is doing so much better (no temp in two days!!) and the worst is behind us (fingers crossed). Also, thankful that this hospital actually has awesome food(go figure!)- it keeps me from snacking at the vending machine so much, which I definitely don't need!

  I'm thankful for sweet baby cuddles. I'm also thankful for a family that is always willing to help. & I'm thankful that I get to have the experience of being a mom. I'm realizing what a true blessing it is.

  I'm thankful for my sweet, happy baby girl. I'm thankful she's a good sleeper. My dream was to be a sahm but that's not going to work right now, the fact that she sleeps so well is going to be easier for me going back.
  
  I'm thankful for my husband he's amazing.
  
  I'm thankful for my family and friends. They have been such a great support. I'm the last in my group if friends to have kids and it so nice to have other mommy friends I can talk to and get advice from.

  I'm thankful that DH snuck me some icecream which is off-limits for a month according to my family's Chinese post-partum care tradition. When asked about all the ice cream being gone he said he ate it all, lol!

  
  

  Thankful for my family being here and can watch the baby so I can do things like shower, take care of paperwork, and generally feel human again. 

  
  

  Thankful that our baby was able to meet his great grandmother.

  I'm thankful DH fell in love with our son. He's loved him from the first time he laid eyes on him. But the crying and overall "new normal" took a toll on him and I was a bit concerned about how he was handling it and how our relationship would be. We've always been bffs. I'm grateful now he is on the upswing, we talk all the time like teenagers, and baby boy is his fav guy. From late night feedings to cooking dinner to story time, he is stepping up to the plate and I love it!

  I am thankful for my sweet happy baby as well. Thankful for my 12 weeks of paid leave from work which is the only way we are able to afford me taking that much time off. Also thankful that my sister is a SAHM of two and has been so helpful as I am a FTM and not a natural with kids the way she has always been. So much to be thankful for, I am truly blessed.

  I'm thankful for my parents. DH and I both had meltdowns this week. My anxiety went through the roof and DH was getting aggravated at not being able to sooth DS. My dad gave me a great pep talk and helped me realize that my feelings are normal and that I really have to give myself credit and lower my expectations of myself and DS. I've been taking his words to heart and feel a lot happier. And my mom is always checking in and wanting to help. It's great to have their support.

  I'm thankful to have a beautiful baby girl to snuggle and to have the blessing of being a mom. It's not always easy, but it is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
  
  I'm thankful for my wonderful husband who just called from work to tell me that if I'd like to go to a women's event at church next week, he'd stay home with Evelyn....even though I know he has anxiety about watching her by himself.
  
  I'm thankful for my entire support system as I figure out what it is to be Evelyn's mommy.

  I am so thankful for my husband! He originally scheduled to be off for 3 weeks after my csection, which was a huge help since I wasn't cleared to drive and we had several appointments to go to. Well, he then decided to use sick days to be off this week, too. He has been so great with our LO and didn't mind me getting a hair cut and a pedicure yesterday (he was alone with the baby for 4 hours, his longest stretch so far). Even though he still drives me crazy at times, I definitely wouldn't have made it through the last 4 weeks without him!

  I'm thankful my mom is taking LO overnight tomorrow so DH and I can go out with friends for his 30th! I'm also thankful for the dirty martini (or 2) I'm going to indulge in guilt free :x

  I'm thankful for this board of awesome ladies & their advice. LO has constant gas pains & Gas drops haven't worked that great. So I decided to go out & buy the gripe water. Oh my goodness!! Amazing! She woke up this morning screaming & you could here the gas bubbles in her tummy.. Gave her the gripe water & she was able to get all the gas out without screaming & it takes her hiccups away immediately. So happy it works for LO

  I'm thankful for Canada's year long maternity leave. As I read posts about the Mommas heading back to work my heart breaks for you. I can't imagine how hard it would be to leave DS all day at this age and i have soooo much respect for all of you moms that have to do it.

  I'm thankful for Pandora radio, because DD really enjoys music. I also prefer playing music most of the time when I'm feeding her or folding laundry or whatever.

  I'm thankful for the Love to Dream swaddlers as recommended by the ladies on this board. My LO loves having her hands by her face, but will wake herself up if I leave them out. She was always struggling and fighting in "arms down" swaddlers. Last night she slept a 4.5 and 3.5 hour stretch. Hallelujah!

  I'm thankful that my baby boy smiled at me this past week. Best feeling in the world.
  
  I'm thankful for my mom who has been awesome since LO was born.
  
  I'm thankful that my husband is able to take time off of work to be home, help out more and get to spend quality time with us.
  
  I'm thankful for my midwife who is helping me through pp anxiety and has become a friend

  I have another one... I just got a call from the at home daycare we were waiting to hear back from. Long story short, we live in the DC area and childcare is absolutely impossible to come by and if you get it, you're basically working just to afford it so we were baffled when we found this lady who charges a fraction of what we were facing. The spot for our daughter was up in the air and if she didn't get it, we were screwed. But we got it! Now I can still afford to go back to work part time, afford daycare AND contribute to our family income. SO THANKFUL!!!

  First of all I'm Thankful for all my blessing from God! That big fella in the sky has given me so much and I never thank him enough! Also my family and pain meds. I had a wisdom tooth taken out. I'm not able to take care of Tanner like I want to. My mom has been a big help and so has my husband! I'm very blessed.

  Thankful for my mom this week. Shes the only family member that has offered me help at home. She came yesterday and did all my laundry, bought me dinner, and kept me company since DH had to work late and played ball last night and im not willing to take LO to the ball park yet. My mom isnt quite ready to watch LO by herself in my eyes and she knows that so I think she was just trying to help where she could and still get time in with LO, proud of her for trying to take the steps she needs to.
