It's Amazing how motherhood can make you feel empowered & defeated all at the same time! :((

  • My most frequent sayings these days are "where the heck did I put my phone?" And "have I showered today?" Lol but totally agree with your thought..sometimes I feel like I have everything under control, the next I'm pulling my hair out

Every time I go to walmart, they have ALL the buggies with the infant seats on the front sitting out in the rain. I, of course, bought the all in one car seat so it's not like I can just put it in a buggy and go. So, I just go to the pet section and get. Little doggy bed, put it in the buggy and lay LO in it for the shopping trip.

Lol, I would never think to do that - these days I would probably just burst into tears when I see the carts with the seats in the rain
  • Right now my most frequent thought is "wait - did that actually happen?". I am so tired that I am having lots of weird dreams then getting confused as to if something happened in reality or a dream.
  • Our Walmart has the carts that you strap your car seat into...however, not only are they outside, they are all the way at the FRONT of the cart lines. Which means you would have to pull off like 40 carts in order to get to it!! I usually just end up carrying him in his wrap or setting the whole car seat in the buggy of a regular cart. So annoying!
  • When Parker blew out his diaper this morning, and it somehow went all over his stomach as opposed to his back, I took a deep breath and thought, "that took some talent kid. I bet you feel better now." Rather than get frustrated, always try to find the humor!
  • Watching my LO have a hard time the past couple days for the first time has made me surprisingly confident. For once I am not doubting myself. I know she is fed, I know she isnt constipated or feeling badly but she is just going through a change and it is upsetting. I am confident in knowing this and understanding that it is me who she needs to comfort her and help her through this time. Usually her Daddy is so laid back with her but he is really having a hard time with not sleeping and constant fussiness. And I am the one that would usually be upset, but I'm not and I'm able to comfort both DH and LO. My Mom-ness has kicked into overdrive and I'm able to handle everything. It's a very empowering feeling.
  • Great post @LacieMac! Exactly my experience lately & inspirational to read your words!!
  • @sarahsairsair the first time, i was pissed bc i had to carry him around the store and he is SOLID! the second time, i was pissed and said "they can put the damn dog bed up and they better not ask me why!"
