34 week ultrasound and undersized fetal stomach

We just got back from our 34 week ultrasound and the doctor (not my OB) came in and told us he's only a week or so behind on size but his stomach is about 2-3 weeks behind. He said my OB may order another ultrasound and/or tests to follow up. Googling just freaks me out, so have any of you ladies had these results as well? (I should say that I'm 36 years old and a FTM)

    IUGR search and high risk board and you should get more info. Mines opposite- head is about 2 weeks behind where stomach is a couple days to a week. There could be so many reasons but as long as you continue to grow you should be fine. Depending on percentile baby is at they may continue to monitor weekly just to make sure they grow on same curve. Then if it dropped off or stop growing they consider inducing. I've been getting checked weekly since 24 weeks and while small has been same growth pattern so no concerns as of now (34 weeks fri)

    This happened to me last week. Baby was measuring 3 weeks behind in the belly and they were concerned about growth restrictions and thinking I might need to be induced at 37 weeks. They were going to start doing weekly ultrasounds and weekly NSTs, but then they decided that I should get a level II ultrasound and a consult with a high risk doctor. At the level 2 ultrasound, baby looked great, so they will probably not repeat any more ultrasounds unless something changes. Try not to freak out before you talk to your Ob.
