12 hour drive + wedding with 3m old

My brother in law is getting married in a couple weeks and they decided to have the wedding in South Carolina which is a 10 hour drive without stops. I have a 3 year old and my little one will be almost 3 months old at this time. My dd just got over a very bad virus where the doctors were very concerned about her due to high fevers and other symptoms. I was advised by the doctor to not go to the wedding because of the long drive and the large amount of people exposing her to germs around flu time. The only problem is my 3 year old is a flower girl and my husband is the best man. While I would just let the two of them go, I hate to say it, but I don't trust my husband to watch my daughter very well and know he will be busy with best man responsibilities. My inlaws will be there and could watch my daughter but I know they will be busy as well. Would you risk taking your 3 month old so that you can make sure your 3 year old's taken care of, would you just keep both of them home or let the three-year-old go without you?

  • I'd definitely listen to the doctors advice and stay home with your 3 month old. I would risk that at all especially after recovering from a virus...I imagine that your little ones immune system isn't up to taking on another virus/cold.

And if it were me I'd send my hubby and daughter to the wedding. He's going to have to learn at some point but that one is a totally personal call.
