My DH was so excited about that corny throwback concert
I really wanted to say to you "three words - back that ass up." Then I realized it's actually four words. I swear I have a case of preggo brain already.
We had been trying for 6 years, then I had a gastric sleeve and we had to stop trying so my body could heal. It's been 10 months, and we haphazzardly stopped protecting, thinking it would take us a while to get preggers anyway. Well, started getting symptoms, took a test, and now our little sweet pea is on its way! Apparently after losing 130+lbs, I'm way more fertile lol!
So there's all those gender swinging methods and we did it with our first and got the girl we wanted first shot. So this time we want a boy. So I'm doing all this crazy boy diet and boy positions and boy timing then I get my period. Next month again trying for a boy... And I get my period. So the 3rd month I'm bored of all this planning and not really paying attention to the rules and we just did it one random day and it stuck.
(we were out of town together for my bff's wedding and my parents were watching DD! She's 20 months and it was the first time we'd been away together since she was born. Hoping to not let it go so long again!)
This was our second IUI. I had lap surgery in July after TTC for two years. We have a wonderful nurse run fertility clinic that has helped us so much. I've never been so happy but so nervous!
We've been using non-hormonal birth control methods since I went off the pill last spring, and hubby's sperm had defeated them all TWICE in the last 6 months (first pregnancy ended in miscarriage in June). You think we'd have learned the first time around, but nope. But even though it was an accident, we're both very excited
Re: Describe how your baby was conceived in only 3 words
(we got in 8 tries during the 5 peak fertility days! One of those was the winner!)
Yup....fertile days landed during our vacation at my mom's house. Sorry mom!

Trucker husband was leaving. Had to sneak in one more quickie, or baby, either way.
