Baby Names

strong one syllable baby boy names

What are your favorites?  I love Beau, DH isn't sold on it yet.  Dean was one I liked, but DH did not.  He likes Kent, but I think people will mistakenly call the baby Ken.

Last name is 2 syllables, starts with B. . . . sounds similar to Banjo but not, Polish sounding.

I'm not saying that people will shorten it to Ken, I think that people will often hear it as Ken because that is a more familiar sounding name, and we'll be constantly correcting people.
  • I see several great suggestions. I will add:

    Jack
    Clark
    Sean
    Dean

I still don't think that's something that would happen frequently.  My Godfather is Kent and no one has ever called him Ken or not recognized Kent.

  • My first thought when reading strong one syllable boy names is always Grant!
