Haven't seen a GTKY in a few days. I know some people already know the sex of their baby's---but others are just beginning to find out. Everyone can still play along.

1. Chinese Gender Calendar. Said to predict at a 90% accuracy if you are having a boy or girl.

If it's correct, I would be having a girl.

2. If you have masculine dreams or dream of a boy, you will have a girl. If you dream of a girl or more feminine things you will have a boy.

If it's correct, I would be having a girl.

3. If the dad-to-be gains weight you will have a girl, if he doesn't you are rumored to have a boy.

If it's correct, I would be having a boy.

4. If you had horrible morning sickness, you are having a girl. If you did not have morning sickness it's a boy.

If it's correct, I would be having a boy.

5. If the hair on your legs has grown faster since being pregnant you are having a boy. If it has slowed in growth or stayed the same, it's a girl.

One I've heard is taking your wedding ring (or any ring you wear regularly), putting it on a necklace chain and holding it over your belly will predict the sex by the way it moves. Side to side is boy and circles is girl. I've tried it just for laughs, one day it does circles, another day it'll do side to side...

Even at 18w3d I'm still having horrible morning sickness. But when I was pregnant with my daughter I had no morning sickness.

At this point I don't care what I'm having but the baby is grounded for life with how sick I am. lol

But the chart says girl so we will see. I don't know when I'm finding out.

Chinese Gender Calendar: We conceived the week of my birthday. I’m more than positive it was a couple days before my birthday – so it says boy for that. If it happened to be after my actual birthday, it says girl!

Dreams: I’ve had some crazy dreams but none about the sex of our baby – neutral.

Dad-to-be: He hasn’t gained any weight yet – so boy for that.

Morning sickness: I had mild nausea from week 6-8. Compared to DD, where I was sick and throwing up for the first 6 months, those two weeks were a breeze – so boy for that.

Hair on legs: I haven’t noticed a difference – so girl for that.

Heart rate: First ultrasound was 165 and second was 157. At home doppler has always been between 140-150 – so girl for that.

Mother's gut: I have no idea. I would guess boy just because of how different this pregnancy has been compared to my first.

Skin: I can’t tell a difference – neutral.

Cravings: I have always loved sweets but I have been enjoying random salty foods. I can’t get enough chips and salsa, and I’m not normally a fan of spicy stuff – so boy for that.

Mood: Compared to my first, I’m happy this time more so than emotional/moody – so boy for that.

Sleep: I’ve always been a side sleep, mostly on my left so this doesn’t really count but – boy for that.

Headaches: OMG the headaches are horrible! I’ve been having terrible shoulder/neck pain though due to my work environment so I chalk it up to that but – boy for that.

Pose: I haven’t noticed a difference – so girl for that.

Baby Names: We only have a boy’s name right now – so boy for that.

Mayan Chart: 28 in 2015 – so boy for that.

Wedding ring: Have not done this yet. Never tried it with DD but will for fun this weekend. I think it will be funny laughing with DH accusing him of swinging it one way or another!

3. Daddy weight gain: he gained weight for dd and so far he's been about the same but he still has all of his "baby weight" so what does that mean?

4. Morning sickness: bad with dd and worse this time so I would have a girl but I don't know if it's right or not

5. leg hair: I don't remember for dd and I think my leg hair is normal or maybe a little faster so boy.

According to original research conducted by Dr. Saad Ramzi Ismaal involving more than 5,000 ultrasound scans, gender can accurately be determined as early as six weeks gestation based on the position of the placenta. Dr. Ramzi found that 97.2% of the male fetuses had a placenta attached to the right side of the uterus while 97.5% of female fetuses were attached to the left side.

So, when you go in for your very first ultrasound and you can’t wait to find out the sex of your baby, ask the technician what side of your uterus the placenta is attached.
