But she just went about it all wrong. See, instead of a stoopid chinese letter or whatever that was, she should have gone with something more functional. I am *this close* to tattooing the following on my forehead:
I'm due January 19th.
Its a girl.
Yes, I'm excited.
Yes, I'm ready.
Touch the bump and you die.
Leave me alone.
Three complete strangers have stopped me this morning and have asked me the questions those answers belong with and two of them have told me the long, drawn out stories about so-and-so's cousin or second cousin who just had a baby or adopted a baby or bought a baby (I wasn't really paying attention) and thought I would care. My enlarged belly is not really a conversation starter for me. I can't wait for her to be born so I can become a hermit for a few weeks and enjoy just her, and DH.

Do they make maternity size sandwich boards??
LOL!!!!!! I love the sandwich board idea!
I've said the same thing about wearing a sandwich board. I just don't want to leave the house anymore!!
DH got to experience this when we ran 3 or 4 errands the other night and at every single store I got the same *%$#@ questions. We were leaving one of the stores and he turns to me and says "Wow. That must get really annoying." Ya think!!
I few years ago, I saw t-shirts like those. You may want to stock up!
I do like that people are nicer to pregnant women, I just don't want to have to talk to them while they're being nice.
Not a half bad idea. LOL
I will be excited to have something to talk about beyond my belly/upcoming baby. I suppose people are just being nice though, so I guess we shouldn't complain. What I would add to that list is:
Any comment about my appearance and you die.
Most people say, "you look great," or "you don't look like you're about to deliver," but I have gotten some comments like "hmm, time to get a new scrub top." AUGH! I will never make these comments to a pregnant woman, I promise!
