So, about 4 1/2 weeks ( based on ovulation late) so obv barely prego. Over the weekend I had some pinkish spotting and a bit of brown discharge too since my BFP. Called this morning and they said to come in.
So good news, based off blood work last week my HCG went from 33 to 65 in less then 48 hours which is encouraging. And the doc today tells me my cervix is closed and looks really good. So I'm all feeling great. And then she tells me she wants to do a pelvic ultrasound next week due to the bleeding so I'm happy because hopefully I'll get a feel for how things are progressing.
So all good-ish stuff right? Well then she diagnosis a yeast infection ( I had been itchy ) and tells me she is calling in a topical treatment because IF I am pregnant she doesn't want me on diflucan. IF. I mean. Really???? If. Why are doctors so freaking just. Ugh. Can't they just say " everything looks good for now, let's keep an eye on things"???? Now I'm a mess because of that one little word

Hoping my levels are strong tomorrow. Good thoughts to all, just venting over here!!
Re: Why are doctors so.... Ugh!
I'm so glad your numbers came back in good shape. I had some pink and and brown spotting around 4 weeks also, so hopefully it's just your body reacting to that baby settling in for a long time!

The nurse at my dr's office did something similar to me a few weeks ago. I was really upset.
tl;dr version:
I took 800 hpt's - all came up positive.
Went to the dr's for my first blood draw.
On my way out of the office, Nurse A says "Congratulations!"
Nurse B says "Don't say congratulations yet! We have to make sure her betas go up."
Uh, thanks? I was pissed. Just say congrats and let me go on my way. I know it's early, I know bad things happen, but ignorance is bliss.
