Digestive Issues

Hi ladies, this post may be TMI but just wondering of anyone else is suffering. I am 6 weeks PP and ever since giving birth I have had nothing but tummy troubles. It started with a bad bout of constipation about 3 weeks ago with gave me a fissure so had to take stool softeners and soothing supposotories for a week. Since then it seems ever other day I have an upset stomach with the runs and I have to go 3 or 4 times in the day which leave me feeling very sore. I am so fed up and wondering whether its a food sensitivity or maybe IBS or even plain old hormones. Wish I could just feel normal full stop, it is really getting me down x

  • Try drinking some warm water mixed with about 2 spoonfuls of lemon juice every morning. It's really good for your digestive system and will help with regulating going to the bathroom. It works better if you keep it up every day. Take it first thing and give it about 15 minutes or so before you before you eat or drink anything else.
  • Loading the player...
  • Increase fiber and water intake.
  • You could try upping your fruit and veggies and seeing if any dairy products are aggravating your system. Obviously that would be trial and error versus going through a doctor. If it's bad enough you could get a referral to a GI doctor. Hope you find some relief!
