when did dr start cervical check?

i am 33wks and 2days and im just curious about when cervical checks start at the dr office. Thats not something I want to be surprised with and no one at my office has mentioned it.

    They should tell you ahead of time, but you can always ask them what their policy is as well!

    You don't HAVE to get cervical checks at your check up appointments. I decline them normally. They are not an accurate predictor of labor.

    I'm going to have them wait and do the group b swab at probably 38 weeks. I might have them check then, but I'm thinking about just declining the check. It gave me false hope the last time. They were like "Oh you'll probably deliver anytime now."... I didn't deliver until 42 weeks and a day!

    With my last pregnancy it started (by my asking) at 36 weeks. For this one, I had a check done at 32 weeks (had some questionable cramping) but my next won't be until 37.

    It ultimately depends on you and your doctor really.
