Symptoms: Nausea is edging off until evenings the last few days, other symptoms are subsiding. Been craving sweets which is out of ordinary.
Rants/Raves: I'm also happy about this cool weather front that has swung through the Midwest this weekend!
Questions: None for now
GTKU: Not particularly a football fan, the Colts are the regional team though so I would root for them. Now, I'm a diehard baseball fan, and am absolutely LOVING seeing the Cubs have such an awesome year!
Week/fruit: 11 - so glad to be done with the awkward looking prune!
Symptoms: dizziness/low blood sugar issues in the mornings, but most have subsided at this point.
Rants/Raves: starting to bump! Ok more like there is no longer a flat portion below my pooch, but still - I can feel my uterus above my pelvic bone now. It's really weird because it took 21+ weeks to be noticeably pregnant with DD. the maternity pants are definitely out earlier this time around.
Question for the group: anyone have any old wives tales style tricks for hemorrhoids? I had horrible ones with DD and I would love to chat about all different methods of avoidance with my doctor.
GTKY- football fan? Who are you rooting for? Iowa State. It's gonna be a rough year. Sigh. DH is also a Vikings fan, so I'm on that bandwagon by proxy. I'll probably end up rooting for Baylor and TCU since they're the Big 12's best shots at a national championship.
Rants/Raves: I shouldn't complain, because I've had it worse, but this ms bull needs to stop. Tonight I had to sneak out of the joint birthday party I threw for my daughter and my sister to throw up cake, which was not awkward at all, considering nobody knows I'm pregnant yet... But to balance it out, yay autumn! The best season!
Question for the group: is anyone else feeling confident about the pregnancy, but their spouse is having anxiety attacks? Mine totally is, and it's not really my favorite. It makes me second guess my confidence, because he's not a worrier.
GTKY- football fan? Who are you rooting for? Sadly, I am no longer a fan. I can't enjoy an industry that treats being an awful human being as something to be accepted because of athletic talent. I used to love it...
Question for the group: is anyone else feeling confident about the pregnancy, but their spouse is having anxiety attacks? Mine totally is, and it's not really my favorite. It makes me second guess my confidence, because he's not a worrier.
I think DH will probably get super anxious as we get closer because ours will be 22 months apart and because he knows how horrible and stressful BFing was with DD. He doesn't do much worrying about the general situation but gets anxious when he can't just fix things that make life difficult for me. Do you know what your husband is anxious about (money/space, keeping up with another, sleep?) or is it just generic nervousness? Not that either is bad, it just may help you help him process.
@mrstrax He seems to be pretty convinced that there is something wrong. We planned on telling the other children the other day, but he panicked and asked that we wait until we have a heartbeat. A part of me wonders if he isn't subconsciously hoping I miscarry again, rather than being worried. This pregnancy was t planned, and will necessitate a new residence and a new vehicle. There is also some concern that I may be carrying twins (three of my last four pregnancies started as multiples), and twins can be an overwhelming idea even if we had been trying.

First of all, I'm sorry that you have to deal with the extra stress worrying about housing/vehicles along with your losses. I don't know anything about your husband so I don't know if this would work for him, but it seems like my husband would process best having a sit down, logic and budget it out session. That way he has time to think through how we CAN do this (twins or a singleton) without it being a super emotional talk that just gives him more to think about. Like I said though, I don't know anything about your marriage/finances/husband, so one way or another, I hope you're able to connect with your husband so there's no chance to become bitter about thinking he'd prefer a miscarriage - not that you are/will, I just wouldn't want it to be a possibility!
When will you have your heartbeat appointment? Do you think it may be that he just doesn't want to get his hopes up?
Symptoms: sore boobs, bloating, tired, and aches/discomfort around my hips.
Rant: i have been on bed rest for month and will continue till week 12. I hate being stuck at home alone most of the day. Only family knows so i feel like i cant talk to anyone. My husband decides he "needs" to spend the day out with his buddy drinking. Oh yeah cause i dont mind another day alone. Ugh like i dont need human interaction? I usually dont mind and maybe its the hormones.
question:none at the moment maybe later when im not upset
Symptoms: most are fading quickly- hooray! Still ocassional battles with MS- mostly in the mornings now instead of all day. Fatigue is still there- especially by the end of the day!
Rants/Raves: time is moving ever so slowly! I have my next appt and u/s on the 24th... Using those as confirmations before making the big announcement. Yet- it still seems forever away! And I'm hosting a party for my son next weekend- it's gonna be so hard to not blab! But with all the different episodes of spotting ive had these past 6 weeks- we want to be 100% certain!
Question for the group: none for me right now
GTKY- football fan? Who are you rooting for? Philadelphia Eagles! Always have been and always will be a Philly girl at heart!
Symptoms: NAUSEA all day, exhaustion, sore breasts, RLP
Rants/Raves: I've tried the Unisom/B6 combo the last couple of days, and it's actually sorta working! This is surprising because it didn't do anything in my previous pregnancies
Question for the group:
GTKY- football fan? Who are you rooting for? Michigan State (yay, we won last night) the Lions and the Saints.
Symptoms: Nausea when spotting, occasional spotting, constipation, milder backaches, sightly sore boobs, occasional hurting ovaries/or that area, waking up starving!
Rants/Raves: This seafood lover can't handle seafood other than cooked fish Nervous and excited to be approaching my milestone week (8.5/9weeks)
Question for the group: Any particular things to prepare during the 1st semester?? Since I had a loss before I'm waiting till I pass the 12week mark to look at baby registries or nursery ideas.
@mrstrax He seems to be pretty convinced that there is something wrong. We planned on telling the other children the other day, but he panicked and asked that we wait until we have a heartbeat.
When I was first pregnant my hubby was the cautious one and as sad as he was, he kept his cool because he was well aware that a lot of ppl go through miscarriages. Having gone through that, your hubby might be being precautious, rather than thinking that sth is wrong. He is probably being your guardian, preparing for the worst but certainly hoping for the best. It may be his mechanism to cope and protect you, his partner, just in case. I'm sure once he hears the heartbeat, then again after the 12week mark, he'll be just as happy if not happier than you
Symptoms: I have a cold so must symptoms are from the cold.
Rants/Raves: my MIL picked up the cutest toy yesterday for the baby
Question for the group:
GTKY- football fan? Who are you rooting for? Yes! I love college football. My team is Alabama but I watch all the SEC games and some of the other teams like Oregan, Ohio state, and Clemson to name a few. I'm starting to get into pro football
Symptoms: Nausea is hopefully going away for good! Still a ton of food aversions plus super smell, occasional heartburn, and crazy mood swings.
Rants/Raves: This weather has been amazing! It's felt like fall, and I'm craving hot apple cider like none other. I'm not looking forward to our jump back to "typical seasonal" hot weather this week.
Question for the group: Any simple crockpot recipe suggestions? I can't handle the smell of cooking food, but I'd love to start eating real food again!
GTKY- football fan? Who are you rooting for? We keep up with the Huskers to avoid the stink eye, but I enjoy watching the big matchups. Oregon-Michigan St last night was great! Plus, every week of football is just another week closer to basketball season. Rock chalk!!
@lc145 cook sliced bacon in it, put em to the side and grill chicken thighs in the bacon oil on both sides so they're nicely browned. Then put in sliced potatoes, two cups or a lil less of chicken stalk, fresh herbs, some salt n pepper, and let it cook for half an hour or 40min. The pot does most of the cooking - hope you can handle the smell!!

Crockpot Salsa chicken! A jar of salsa and chicken breasts! When done- usually on low for 6-8 hours- shred the chicken. Can be eaten with rice or a wrap... And some cheese- delicious! You can even add frozen corn into the crockpot too. Love it!
I'm so glad to be done with the prune, too! I sent my mother in law a screen shot of the page for the info, and she initially thought it was one of those pictures of a charred smoker's lung! So awful
Thanks for all the support on my weird husband, guys! We have had a serious budget talk, which didn't seem to help. I think I'm bugged not because of the negativity per se, but just because it's out of character. He's a fairly positive guy- or he pretends to be in order to balance out my unfortunate tendency toward pessimism.
The ultrasound is in the morning, and I'm ridiculously excited!
@jennypetunia honestly, I'm doing the bare minimum and making the kids do the rest. Dh got all manic this weekend and deep cleaned everything, so that's nice. Perhaps if you could slip your husband just a tiny bit of me th, he'd do it, too! (KIDDING!! really just kidding!) But in all honesty, set priorities. I have to ha e an empty sink, and a floor clean enough to vacuum. That's my minimum. As long as that gets done, plus the occasional load of laundry so that everyone has mostly clean school clothes, the rest is gravy, at least for the first trimester. Your energy WILL return eventually.

This. So much. I think half the reason nesting happens is to cover what got skipped in the first tri
Also, please let us know how your u/s goes! I hope everyone is perfectly healthy!!
Symptoms: had a break from the crazy nausea and food aversions over the past 2 days which is nice. FIngers crossed it's gone to stay. Now I need ALL the food ALL the time, making up for lost time I guess. Also dealing with low blood pressure and light headedness and semi sore boobs.
Rants/Raves: loving the fall weather that has hit us this week. Sleeping with the windows open makes me insanely happy.
Question for the group: none at the moment
GTKY- football fan? Who are you rooting for? Alabama Crimson Tide!!
Me & DH - 2009
Gone but not forgotten: Identical twin boys born at 23 weeks - 2004
I measured a few days small (I KNOW I I'd on a Wednesday), so dr changed my due date so I'm Saturday now. I always measured small with DS though and he came before my due date. So we'll just see lol!
Week/fruit: week 7. Don't know fruit. It's so true how 2.0 is different
Symptoms: mind numbingly exhausted. All day nausea/food aversion that vomiting doesn't help. Occasional head rushes.
Rants/Raves: I'm having another ultrasound tomorrow Bc I had my annual pap scheduled and my dr is awesome so he's gonna scan me again to make sure nothing happened in a week. Rant is that I don't have a full time live in nanny slash housekeeper (sarcasm, but not really that would be amazing)
Question for the group: how do you STMs with full time jobs survive. Seriously, I don't get it. I work from home for myself and I have gotten the absolute minimum amount of work done the last week.
GTKY- football fan? Nope. Don't care at al about sports haha! But DS is a big FSU fan and his family is all Auburn fans (except his sister whose an Alabama fan), so I make DS cute football shirts haha. My sister and her boyfriend went to duke undergrad and are doctors there now so we root for duke basketball. That's about as sports ish as I get haha. Unless you count Disney on ice and drinking at the country club Restaurant (golf? LOL!!!)
First BFP 12/2012, MMC at 9 weeks
Second BFP 6/2013, resulted in DS, born 2/23/14 :-)
Third BFP 5/2015, natural MC at 6 weeks
Fourth BFP 8/2015, hoping for sticky little brother or sister to H!
Proud SAHM to our little monkey H.
Pro Vax, extended breasftfeeder, ring sling and stroller loving mama. I don't judge you unless you don't vaccinate!
@jennypetunia my mom lives next door and has been helping a lot, and DH has been amazing with helping with DS more. Also I have had the house keepers come once a week instead of every other.

Rants/Raves: I just want to be able to eat and quit feeling sicky.
Question for the group: what week has nausea stopped for you?
GTKY- football fan? Who are you rooting for? GO PACK GO!!!
With both my pregnancies I was nauseated from weeks 5-9 and then it trails off and I get dizziness/light headed spells where if I don't sit down I feel like I'll faint. No actual fainting yet, but pretty close a few times.
That said, I also have a friend who throws up multiple times a day for the first 6 months, so it really depends on the person. Hopefully you're one of the ones who get to be done early!
Hello, I think I'm a Sunday ticker change. I guess I will go ahead and join you ladies!
Week/fruit: Week 7 / blueberry
Symptoms: When I'm not suffering from MS, it's hunger! I never actually threw up with DS, so this is kicking my *ss this time around.
Rants/Raves: I'm also so tired all the time. I feel bad that I don't want to leave the house to take my lil' guy out to playgrounds and stuff. At least he loves watching PBS kids shows all day while I lounge on the sofa (guilt).
Question for the group: For 2nd time SAHMs, how do you adjust and manage with TWO LOs?
GTKY- football fan? Who are you rooting for? NOPE. We don't watch sports in this house.
Terrible gas. Nausea all day still for the most part, getting worse at night. I feel like I'm starting to have some energy come back slowly, until that is I need a nap haha.
Rants/Raves:
Excited for our 12 week ultrasound next week!
Question for the group:
Mmm nope.
GTKY- football fan? Who are you rooting for?
My heart will always belong to the Redskins, but because my DH is a Patriots fan I'm very happy to root for them. It's nice when they actually win, which is something I'm not used to typically lol fml.

Funny - DH is a Redskins fan and I'm a Pats fan! Although he won't admit it, I think the Pats are growing on him.

Hahah, I'm sure its hard for him not to because its nice to not be disappointed all the time lol.
Symptoms: smells, loss of appetite,swollen/super tender breasts, nausea is lessening( YAY !) fatigue, moody and HORRIBLE constipation.
Rants/Raves: thankful MS is going away... I made it through without any meds!!, breasts grew so needed to buy new bras and I'm exited for my next ultra sound on the 25th. Audible heartbeat :x

I love to do this. I add corn, black beans, and cream cheese and it's delicious. We eat with chips like nachos, or in a wrap with rice. Yummy!
Hi ladies! The ultrasound went swimmingly this morning- just one gummy bear with a beautiful little flicker of a heartbeat, 160 bpm! I can't believe how great it was to see that tiny heart. But I guess I'll be moving to Monday ticker change. The baby is bigger than expected, and they're moving my due date, so instead of turning 7 weeks this last Saturday, I'm 8 weeks today! I'm still so confused about how I even got pregnant this time. Hahahaha!!
