8 week growth spurt

Baby is 8 weeks old and I feel terrible for him right now. He is screaming for 2 days now, not sleeping even though he is clearly tired, and only happy when he is eating. He was a preemie and was tiny up until a few days ago when he literally one day fit into newborn and the next day, he is in 3 months. I have tried every comforting techniques. To any of the STM's is there any advice you have or is it something that you just kind of stick out and get through.

Mine calmed down when the vacuum was on and as @Miz_Liz has said a loud bathroom fan works too. I also took a bath with LO to calm them down but made DH sit nearby since I was paranoid but LO did calm down with me in the tub. I've also had good luck babywearing and pacing around the house like a mad woman and loud shooshing directly in the ear. Hang in there, hopefully the spurt will end soon and LO will get some big catch up snoozes!
