I feel like I'm moving in slow motion. It seems to take me forever to do anything. Cleaning the kitchen, grocery shopping, getting off the couch, thinking... Has pregnancy hit the slow mo button on your life or am I the only one?
Ugh, YES. All I have done so far today is get groceries, grab some lunch, walk the dog and deposit my pay check. IT'S THREE O'CLOCK. I have no idea how that happened.
Oh, and I totally agree with @Francookie that pregnancy is taking forever too. I'm at the halfway point as of midnight tonight and my husband was like wow, it's really flown by! I could have smacked him, haha. It's like uh, for YOU maybe, but for me who was horribly sick and nauseous week 6-14, and now is exhausted, slow moving and catches a cold if anyone so much as breathes near me, not so much!
Not alone!!! I used to be all "go-go" now I'm all...."let me just lay down a sec before I do that." I feel as though I am moving slower at work too (bartending).
I'm with ya! I used to go all the time. I loved running around town doing errands, cleaning the house, etc. and now I can barely get the energy up to get outta my Jammies! I'm definitely excited to get back to my go go self after baby!
Completely same page here. I'm used to high energy, get stuff done at work and at home. Now I'm zoned out, sleepy, quick to get frustrated at people/things, and for sure feel slower than normal.
Ugh! Yes! I feel like I have to take a million breaks while doing stuff. Not to mention I can't lift anything heavy so any rearranging or nesting has to wait on my hubby to be home and be in the mood to help. Not fun when I'm used to climbing ladders, painting and hanging things on my own.
Yes!! Plus i caught a nasty cold, so between that and pregnancy the only productive thing I've done is complain lol.
Seriously though, 45 minutes to decide if I wanted to do my makeup and another 45 just to finish it?! I'm a ten minute get ready girl. You can forget dishes or cleaning for today.
The slowness of getting ready and getting things done is really just a preshow of how it is with a kid. At first you have 10lbs of baby crap to pack and bring to always have at the ready. Then your kid learns to walk and talk and you have to wait on them to "do it themselves". But, it's all worth it
I've done the pregnancy thing and kid thing. 5 times already. The way I feel right now is the way I felt at the end of my others. I'm just taken back by how early I'm feeling like I'm slowing down and falling apart. Maybe I'm just too old. I knew turning 30 would be the death of me...
Yep I'm super slow. My husband notices it a lot. I used to be so efficient. I loved doing things, lots of things, quickly, efficiently, and getting all I could out of each day! I like accomplishing things! And now, I'm always exhausted and I'm lucky to do ONE thing a day. I've been doing ok, but it does get me down here and there because I know what I would have gotten done already if I wasn't so darn slow these days!
I definitely feel like I'm slowing down. I used to be a go go kinda person (after the initial laziness wore off) now it's just I move slower, I feel like I can't do anything anywhere close to how I used to do it before. I can't even think properly anymore. But, these kicks make it worth it. Almost like he's saying -kick- "mommy get your butt into gear"
As long as I can get going in the morning (which work forces me to do) I'm pretty good. On the weekends however, I don't even want to get dressed or leave the house. So for the most part I don't lol. I get it all done outside of the house during the week and on the weekends I veg out. Good enough for me!
Re: Pregnancy slowness...I'm just not loving it.
I will be happy to eventually be me again.
