Loss of appetite at 9 weeks - any ideas why? Sorry long

my 9 wk old was finally in a good routine with feelings eating great and gaining great the last 3 weeks or so. This was huge for us because he has struggled with weight gain since birth. I finally set my stubbornness aside and was pumping and bottle feeding rather than struggling with him to breastfeed productively. He would eat 4-6 oz of breast milk per feeding and a 4-6 oz bottle of formula each day every 3 hours. He went from the 4th percentile in weight to the 25th! I have been occasionally nursing him and then giving an extra 2 oz and he has been great about letting us know if/when he needs more. Until the last 3 days!

He is now only eating 2-3 oz every 2-3 hrs and will cry the entire time he is eating at some feedings.

I need help! Could it be gas? Could he be sick? No fever. Did just have his first vaccinations on Friday could that have anything to do with it?

I'm frustrated because any routine that was established is now out the window and it's more difficult to know when he is hungry! I'm worried about his weight after all the progress we have made AND I go back to work in 2 weeks hope this is just a short phase!!

    Check for thrush, maybe? Sorry for the struggle.

    I feel like my DD also lost her appetite she is 10 weeks and I noticed it at about 8-9 weeks, at night she eats perfectly but during the day she does not last more than 3-5 mins breastfeeding, and I feel like if I do not offer the breast to her she would not even try to eat. Once I waited till she would cry but four hours went by and nothing and the lastime she had only fed for like 3 mins so I ended up offering the breast and again no more than 5 mins.. She seems content so i am not sure if I should worry but it does worry me. When I offer her a bottle she only eats about an once or two. Her weight is fine and her number of diapers is fine the only thing is that her poop is more green than yellow. Idk i hope is a phase as well.. I so she had started to sleep up to six hours straight at night but now she is back to waking up every two hours :(

    Could it be reflux if he's crying through bottles? My DS's appetite totally changed around 5 or 6 weeks and hasn't gone back since. He's eating 1.5-3 ounces every 2-3 hours. I've been stressing about it, but we go for his 2 month check up tomorrow, so if he's still gaining I'm just not going to worry anymore. He definitely seems to be gaining weight...he's outgrowing all his clothes. GL to you!

    My baby had a horrible 2 days of feeding after her shots...I don't know if it was related but 2 days after it was sooo bad she was crying/refusing the breast. I had finally got her to take a few oz of formula that day. Then in the middle of the night she went back to BF and was totally fine the next day! She does have days that she BF for a short time and wiggles a lot!! She has reflux so I think she may have days that it flares up on her.
