Today, we ride the struggle bus. My LO will nurse for a half hour and fall asleep at the breast, nothing unusual. Today, he eats, falls asleep, held for about five to ten minutes, placed in bassinet, a few moments later wide eyes and rooting, put him back on, falls asleep, held, down, awake, rooting. All day. I think the longest he slept today is a half hour when I swaddled him and turned on the sound machine before I put him down.
Is this just something one-months do, or is my lazy eater just getting lazier?
Re: The Sleep Struggle
Mine was/is a sleeper on the boob, too. It gets much better though! What I'd do was feed him on one side until he stopped and got sleepy, then my husband would change his diaper to wake him up, then I'd put him on the other side to finish eating. This way he's getting a full meal, not falling asleep before he was really done and needing to eat again immediately. Congrats and good luck!!
